We stopped at Evan’s Fresh Seafoods and it was great! We tried the Lobster Roll, large Seafood Chowder with Mussels and Seafood Platter with Shrimps; and, everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were satisfying, yet we recommend the large Seafood Chowder if you plan to share or make it a meal. The staff was also very nice and diligent.

I can't believe I've lived here for over a year and never went to Evan's! The food and service is PHENOMENAL, and after sitting down to eat, you can grab the ferry over to Halifax for a nice day of exploring.

Had the lobster roll, scallops and seafood chowder. They all tasted pretty good. However the price point is a bit too steep in my opinion, specially considering the portion sizes. We ended up spending over 60 dollars for two people (including tax and tip) and were hungry even after the meal. Moreover the dining area is also just inside the Dartmouth ferry terminal - not that fancy to warrant the price.

Get ready to have your taste buds blown away at this amazing seafood restaurant! They only use the freshest local fish and seafood, making it the best seafood in town. Their fish and chips are so crispy and flavourful, you won't be able to resist them. And don't even get me started on the tacos - they're simply to die for!But it's not just the food that makes this place special. The atmosphere is awesome, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. So whether you're in the mood for a quick lunch or a special occasion, this is the place to be. Trust me, you won't regret it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience there a few years ago and this was the first chance to go in a couple of years due to the pandemic. The ferry ride from Halifax along with their delicious food makes for a great combo. The lightly battered fried scallops were fantastic as were the fried clams. I also loved the seafood chowder. I cannot recommend this place enough. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to try everything. The prices are also cheap, if you're used to NYC prices like I am.9/10/2022 I went back for another visit.I had the fried scallops, fried clams and the seafood chowder again. Everything is still fantastic!! The seafood here is remarkably fresh and expertly prepared. They also seem to have increased the portion size of the fried clams.I added mussels to the seafood chowder this time. Will come back every chance I have!

I was on vacation in Halifax for 5 days with my friend and this place was recommended by food bloggers and google. We were very excited to try the lobster rolls and we turned a blind out to the price which was 30$ for the sandwich alone after taxes. When we got our rolls, they looked super dry, unappetizing, and very cheap for what we paid for, but again we turned a blind eye to all of those since we were still excited to try them out. When I took my first bite, all I got was super dry bread that tasted like store bought bread and the bread itself wasn’t that toasted. I couldn’t finish the bread so I continued eating the filling which was also super disappointing, the sauce was very overpowering, I got lots of shell, and it was incredibly underwhelming for the price. I will not be eating here again which is disappointing because the staff were incredibly friendly and the outdoor patio was pretty. The first picture was of my sandwich and the second picture is of my friends.

I ordered a large size seafood chowder with mussels. It was delicious, but there were no lobsters or scallops. There were only fish, mussels (which I added), and potatoes. That's not what I searched for. :(Anyway, they have a nice view

First time being in Nova Scotia from the prairies and we found Evans fresh seafood tucked away inside the Alderney landing building. Ordered a large chowder with mussels and 6 fresh Nova Scotia oysters. The chowder was absolutely amazing. The fish, lobster and scallops were so delicious, they were so tender. The mussels were the best I've ever had! It's a a shame I was expecting chewy fish like the prairies would have. The oysters were so big and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and upbeat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious fresh seafood in a hip little area with super friendly staff.

Great gluten free menu. Clams and fish were fresh, tartar sauce tasty. Even the cakes were amazing, and they're always gluten free.

Spent 5 days, 4 nights in Halifax, and this place served us the best meal in all of our time here. Conveniently located by the ferry station, so you can grab lunch/dinner right as you get off. Worth taking the ferry ($2.75/adult) just for this. Lobster and oysters were fresh, lobster poutine was different and delicious as a side. Wish we had more time to try other things on the menu. Staff is super friendly and accommodating despite how busy they are. Nathan was really accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. You MUST try this place if you in town!!!
