SkyCastle - New Horizon Mall

We went here about a year ago for my daughter's birthday and her and my older boys had a lot of fun! It's big and bright and there's lots to do. I like the colors and the castle theme is fun. It's quite far from us otherwise I'm sure we'd go more often. It had Asian themed food and prizes which was different. We got the variety food tray since I wasn't sure which food we'd like since I wasn't familiar with the choices which was good but a bit greasy. My stomach felt it later. Hoping to make it there again soon.

It's an amazing place for people to take their kids. They also do reservations for birthday parties. One thing I was disappointed that the kitchen closed way before the place closed.

Amazing place in a ghost mall, I say that as the mall is just empty makes sense as there is the Cross Iron Mills Mall which is great mall. Anyways Skycastle is a great place to spend the entire day, well built safe and a lot of activities for kids. The ball pit and slides are the best. There is a game zone too for arcade games. If you have kids 4 and above perfect place as you just pay for kids and adults go in free so you can spend entire day. The castle itself is huge and kids can get lost so for under 4 year old I would say self supervise. But over all its great they do make you sign a waiver. No outside food allowed but inside food options are good too. Ample parking and washroom. Over all highly recommended. Follow for more.

We visited this playplace today as a treat to the kids. Its located on the upper floor of New Horizon Mall.The play place looks great from the ticket booth, colorful, multi levels and lots to do.Once inside, a tube slide, multiple curved slides and other slides are present on the large structure, similar to other indoor play areas with 4 levels in most spaces.There is a hidden trampoline area on ground level behind the middle of the structure.All areas appeared decently cleaned, except for the toddler area, which was visibly dirty at opening.The only thing we found that did not work, was the ball guns, which wasn't a big dealAs an adult, watch your head in the slides, for some reason they all have a hump at the bottom, which caused a few good bumps.The cafe seemed very pricey, we chose not to order food. Than, something caught my eye...D Dutchman Dairy ice cream.Single is 4.5 and double for 7.5Can't get enough of that!If ya don't mind the drive this place is decent, but nothing stands out other than the ice cream from any other indoor play center in the city.

Today I visited the place for the first time, because I only knew it through photos and videos on Instagram and I wanted to show it to my daughter as a possible place to celebrate her 7th birthday. She super approved the choice. We took advantage and stayed for her to play, we stayed for more than 3 hours and she didn't get to know all the spaces. We had a snack at the cafeteria and it was really delicious (I wanted to know a little bit of the menu).Something that really displeased me is the space to use the mall's bathroom and that wouldn't be a problem if that bathroom was clean. I was very disappointed with the situation as I saw the bathroom. The completely dirty floor, the countertops of the sinks. I confess that I only used it because it was too tight and I had no other option!

I have been here a couple times now and my daughter loves it. I haven’t found it overly dirty. But today was a whole new level, I’m unsure what happened. But the place was not cleaned the night before. We were one of the first ones there so not of this happened before we got there.

Clean space and very child friendly, I like how it’s easy to spot your children anywhere that they are in the playground because of the nets. You’re not likely to lose sight of your kiddo for more than a minute if they disappear into the slide area or something. The floor is padded pretty much everywhere except entry and food area I believe, again very safe for children. It was really clean when I visited. Don’t know how the bathrooms are though as I haven’t been.

This place is huge! My inner kid in me wants to explore all the slides, tunnels and secret pathways! I like that they have a big set up and divided playground areas so that the kids won’t clogged into one spot. There’s also a Ninja warrior gym set-up, arcade station, toddler or small kids area, and of course a food corner where adults can rest and have a bite. At the other side of the main castle, there is a cheaper entertainment place for preschoolers and toddlers for role-play mini city. They have party packages too!

​We wanted to spend some time in this place with our children. However, we were not allowed in until we agreed to sign an agreement stating that the company is not liable for any harm or injury to our children, including death. This practice is common in Canada today. We were completely unaware that we would encounter life-threatening and unsafe play structures with uncovered metal constructions in this indoor playground! Additionally, there were rope rings on which children could swing and accidentally hit each other, as they could swing in different directions. Moreover, these rings were found to bounce back upon release, which unfortunately happened to our friends' child.​They were swinging on these rings, and it rebounded, hitting them in the face and resulting in a broken front tooth. It also hit my child in the face. In just 10 minutes, two children were affected, and I don't believe it's a coincidence. Despite this incident, the managers refused to provide any compensation, citing the waiver we had signed and placing the responsibility on us as parents. We urge you not to visit places where parents and their children are treated in such a disrespectful manner, and where customer safety is completely disregarded. Have these play elements ever been modified? No, and they won't be. These individuals only prioritize your money, despite the high cost of visiting this facility. As long as parents are consistently blamed, such establishments will continue to exist. Therefore, please take care of yourself and your children.​

We went here for the first time today. My main concern for the poor review is that the gate was left unattended and children were able to exit the play place without their parents. I went to go to the bathroom, which you have to exit to the mall to access and had to shoo children back through the gate that had followed us out. Not once did anyone check our number when we left. Honestly why put the numbers on if you are not planning on checking them. Overall the process made me feel pretty uncomfortable and we probably will not be returning. On the plus side all of the equipment was working.
