Good place for accessing trails, but there was a lot of garbage around, people coming and going.

McKay lake is the unfortunate victim of litter and trash left behind from bush parties. Piles of trash from dumped household trash. It is a pretty area that has been treated with disrespect. The camp site has a number of homeless living in tents and old trailers. It was saddening to witness.

Place is beautiful, but has a methy vibe from other trailers around. Trash and burn pit are also present. Staging area it self was closed but other places to par. Just vibe it out for yourself, it is free.

Great hidden & secluded spot in nature for free camping. Great option for an overnight stay or two while van living. 2x enclosed drop outhouses. Lots of traffic from 4WD'S, motorbikes and ATV'S however. But isn't really a bother.
