Update: Changing rating up to a 3. There is one person handling all the calls and bookings for a wide territory. This explains the long wait and long time in between returned calls. Many businesses are short staff since the masses stopped working. My parts took a few months but that is the way of the world now. It was installed great then had to call for a refund on the warranty part, which they immediately did.

Just generally a bad experience. Had ducted heat pump installed (was not cheap but i figured I'd rather pay for a good unit). Left a huge mess everywhere they worked. Crew really didn't know what they were doing. Had issues mid winter where power bill spiked. They diagnosed" failed parts that were on "backorder". After months of no parts I contacted the manufacturer myself after getting the part numbers from Atlantic. The manufacturer (Ecoer) was skeptical of the diagnosis and offered to cover the labour for another company to check the unit. Turned out the tech had configured the unit using the wrong unit of measure Farenheit vs Celsius. I don't think Atlantic maliciously did any of this. They were just incompetent and the result was costing me hundreds of dollars a month through the winter with no offer of recourse. Oh and as a kicker

The staff who showed up were very friendly, fast and explained the installation process well. This was our first time owning a mini split heat pump and the staff took their time to ensure we knew how it worked and that we understood the settings. We recommend Atlantic Heating and Cooling to everyone! Excellent job!

This is the worst company to deal with... I suggest not even bothering to call them as they don't care about the customer...they do not answer there phones and they never call you back......we had to go directly to the business to talk to someone after numerous calls with no call backs.... Also if you have a daikin heat pump they willprobably tell you to go somewhere else they are no longer dealing with daikin heat pumps.....we called for a service call to have my heat pump fixed waited 4 wks for someone to finally come when they came said it was a leak and fixed it and 24 hrs later it was not working all iced up again.....called them back to tell them it wasn't fixed and the person who answers the phone told us to go somewhere else to have it fixed and that there are no refunds for service calls as per the manager. (I had not even asked for a refund only wanting my heat pump fixed because they had not fixed it but charged me) we again told her absolutely not that they could come and look at it again as we were not paying another service fee to another company when we already paid them a service fee and to fix the heat pump and 24 hrs later it was no longer working...we had to wait another week for them to come and look at it....they then tell me its the accumulator leaking now....was told again get a different company to look at it ....we again said we did not want to have to pay another company a service fee...asked this person to try to order the part and get back to us and there company could do the repair also this was over a week ago and have heard nothing from this company....I have decided to cut my losses for the service fee and repair from this company and have gone somewhere else no one can be as bad as this company for customer service...

I am having a hard time between them and SJ Energy. My pump hasn't worked in about 3 months. I am selling my home and the people buying it don't want to deal with a broken pipe. They want me to pay $250 to remove a broken pump and on top of that I have to buy out my contract. I only had it installed in September. Getting the run around from both companies

I will never ever use Atlantic heating and cooling for my heat pump services again. In September of 2022 I set up an appointment to have a tech come to my house and diagnose the issue with my heat pump. One month later the tech showed up and fixed " the issue. It worked for less than six hours. The next day I called and told them it wasn't working. I was told ok tech said we need to order two new parts. We'll here we are in March of 2023. Low and behold no parts here as of yet. During this time period I have had many problems reaching people

Been trying to get my heat pump repaired since July. It is now November. Their published phone number seems to go to an answering service in another city (they always ask which city I am calling from) and then transfer me to a voicemail. The voicemail says they will call back before the end of the day (if it’s not full) but I haven’t ever received a call back yet. When I asked the answering service to talk to a manager, I was put through to the same voicemail. I finally got through to someone last week but she couldn’t even confirm that the part had been ordered. She was going to check her email history and call me back before the end of the day…it’s a week later and she hasn’t called back.I am now going to have to pay a new contractor to diagnose the same problem and wait again for parts to arrive.

Much like the other reviews here, this company has been giving us the run around on “supply chain issues” for a part we’ve needed for our heat pump for 9 months. They took over the contacts from the previous company we had purchased our unit from. After a little digging, they appear to be into some very shady business and we will likely never get the part from them (but they’ve had no issue taking payment for their “service calls” and keeping us on the hook.) Stay away from this company and look into other service options through your unit’s manufacturer. Cannot believe we gave them the benefit of the doubt for so long.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish! The sales person listened to my individual needs and wants. I felt heard and respected. The installers showed up exactly when they were supposed to, they were quick, courteous and polite and worked great as a team! They did a thorough walk through of the unit and the remote which was very helpful. I've bragged about how great my experience was already and will continue to do so! 10/10!

New unit installed in Oct for $17K. They charged me and had me pay in full, to only find out the next day the installation was never finished. Took three weeks of Jacques avoiding me to finally get someone in when I called the office directly. Then they left not one, but two holes in my hallway wall and only partially fixed one. Then, on the coldest day of the century my auxiliary heat wasn’t working. Come to find out the humidifier also NEVER worked. Finally got it fixed after pestering them for days. A month later now my air exchanger unit is gushing water everywhere! No one answers the phone. No emergency line. No one returns voice mails. Absolutely atrocious for the amount I paid only four months ago! There’s been a major major issue with both items. Zero customer service except for their technician Rob whose number I happen to still have in my phone and who made a house call on his weekend. Otherwise don’t waste your money with this company.
