FEB 15 2022 - If you are going here to pick up a renewed passport, be sure to make an appointment because they WILL NOT mention that to you. Also, they are NOT in office on Tuesdays (Work from home) currently. These things need to be stated on the website or facebook/twitter page. This is so unprofessional. Luckily, I am in Ottawa for a few more days, but DO NOT depend on the secretary or whoever it is that answers the phone to throughly communicate what needs to be done. Flights, Accomodation, Transportation, Food, etc. are all too expensive for The Bahamas High Commission to be so UNORGANIZED. They will not let anyone but YOU retrieve the passport (or so I was told). Very unprofessional and disorganized. Why should we have to spend soooo much money to PICK UP a passport is beyond me when other countries have their passports mailed directly to them. This should be illegal. Something needs to be done.
