A Concerning Experience By Prospective ClientsToday we received our final communication from Koert Plumbing. Please see below for a detailed account of our experience. If you are considering Koert Plumbing for a bathroom renovation you may want to read this.We were referred to Koert Plumbing for a bathroom renovation by a reputable, local tile company. As well, we received a recommendation from friends who were satisfied with the plumbing service they received from Koert. With this in mind, we contacted Koert, last Spring, and were put on a waiting list for a Spring 2023 bathroom renovation. We stayed in touch throughout the year and on December 28, 2022, the business owner Chris, reached out to book an initial appointment which was on January 7, 2023.This appointment was eventful - our well thought-out vision and ideas were shared. Chris said, “now that you have me here, things move quickly”. As requested, we sent inspirational pictures to Chris that he could review, and a follow-up appointment was to be booked. We kept in touch but couldn’t get Chris back until February 10th, his earliest availability. We discussed next steps, including replacing our water softener. To receive an estimate, we were asked to make tile and fixture selections first. We were e-introduced to their tile partner and bathroom fixture showroom associate. We immediately visited the tile store and made an appointment with the the bathroom fixture business on February 22nd. Tile samples were ordered and bathroom fixture ideas were researched. Our design aesthetic is specific and it did take a little time to make selections, but we helped with this and spent many evenings researching and sourcing products on our own. Koert was notified that selections had been finalized on March 23rd and that both the tile company and bathroom showroom had questions to clear up. We had two visits from Koert’s construction specialist, who was new to the business; the first to take measurements and the 2nd on April 5th, to go over design details; plans he wasn’t fully aware of at this stage. We mentioned our concern about how long is was taking to get a quote. On April 8th, Chris emailed us - he heard we were “antsy” for an estimate - he said “typically he would have had a rough price sent out a while ago, but our bathroom wasn’t straight forward for him”. April 21st - still no estimate; a mix up on Koert’s end - they failed to get a drawing of the space to the tile company. April 26th we reached out again asking for a quote by the end of the week. Finally on May 3rd we received an estimate. The quote we received was not accurate regarding the work to be completed. There were items missed and others mistakenly added. We were extremely disappointed with the lack of care and effort put into constructing the estimate. Please keep in mind that the estimate is for more than $40K for a 6.5 ft x 7ft bathroom.Our email response was professional and direct - the quote was not acceptable. The amount of time, effort and care we put into the project was dismissed, our concerns were trivialized, and we were blamed for the delay. Chris said “I could have given you a ballpark price weeks ago and I said I was going to. I also said I would have this completed sooner and I did not so that is on me”.Too many excuses and too many apologies.We communicated with the Koert team every step, with honesty and respect.Our disappointment is with Chris, the business owner. He has “15 other bathrooms either just starting, in the middle of, or finishing”. Our project simply wasn’t a priority and Chris wasted our time.We asked for the common decency of a phone call but he wouldn’t commit and he wouldn’t commit to a time for an in-person visit.In the last few days we’ve received a few unprofessional and rude emails from Chris, but today, May 14, 2023, there was one more apology and the wish for great success with our project.Our time was wasted but thankfully we didn’t hire Koert Plumbing.

This is my second project I do with Koert Plumbing and in both projects I am very satisfied with the work they have done. The first time Sean came in to replace my main water valve and the second project Costa replaced some old pipes in my laundry room. I can see the consistency of the professionalism in their staff. Chris the owner is very responsive and flexible in following up to setup the appointment. Angela the office Manager is also awesome and always on top of all emails responding and answering any questions either by email or phone. I will definitely continue use their service again. In my opinion, Koert Plumbing is a role mode of how a small business should be.

Guys are on time, professional, friendly and competent. They even checked in to see if everything was running well days later before sending an invoice. Top shelf service. Will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs.

I had all the plumbing replaced in my older house by Koert Plumbing. I was on a very tight timeline due to insurance required. They got the job done on time and in budget. Chris was very responsive to all my questions and everything was handled very professionally. Their communication on the project was fantastic. They took great care with even the smallest of details. I am very satisfied with the results of this job and would strongly recommend Koert for any plumbing work you need done.

We have used Koert Plumbing many times over he past few years and continue to be extremely happy with the quality of their work and responses to our requests. The plumbers that Chris sends to our house have always been polite and professional.

Our friends recommended Koert Plumbing to do our bathroom renovation, and we would absolutely recommend them, too! What impressed us most about Koert Plumbing—on top of turning our dated master bathroom into the most stunning room in our home—was the extensive amount of communication throughout the entire project. That's incredibly hard to find when working with trades, and Koert Plumbing gives you the peace of mind you need. Chris (and Tyler, too!) and the rest of the team were always available to provide updates, timelines, answer questions, and didn't need to be prompted by us to do so. Their recommendations during the design process were also spot-on and we are grateful for the guidance they provided while doing our project. As well, with any project, there were obstacles. However, Chris and the team navigated them so gracefully and were always able to resolve the issue. Chris and his team (including Jones Electric) didn't rest until things were resolved and we were happy. Chris takes a lot of pride in his work and in his team, and it shows. You can also tell that his team members enjoy working with him and for him. Thanks, Koert Plumbing, for a job well done!

We had Koert replace our aging sump pump last spring. We hired them just before their staff was going on a company retreat, but Chris personally emailed me to let me know he'd be squeezing the job in before they left for the week. With their busy schedule, that could not have been easy.The two gentlemen Koert sent out did a great job. They were courteous and efficient, and they took the time to explain everything about the pump and battery backup.Highly recommend.

Koert was great to deal with. The plumber they sent out, Steve, was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. They charged a fair price for good quality work.

Koert Plumbing installed two new faucet shut offs and ran our water softener to the bathroom. The tech was on time, friendly, answered all my questions and clean up the work area. Very impressed with Koert Plumbing. I would recommend this business. 5 star

In February I had a problem with my water softener. They came out. Fixed the problem. Left. 6 days later got in invoice. Paid the invoice.2 months later they send me another invoice for almost double the first. I call speak to someone, she tells me they’re updating their systems and it could have been a mistake. She’ll call me back. Never calls me back so my assumption it was an error.Another 3 months pass and they send me the invoice again with zero explanation of why they’re charging me again.I gave a 2 star because the actual plumbers who came to the house were professional and nice.**editThe owner Chris reached out. It was his first time seeing this. Due to staff and system changes there was some confusion and overlap. The issue has been resolved. New rating is based off service and Chris resolving the issue.
