Ontario Nature is a great environmental NGO here in Ontario! They are a part of the Ontario Nature Network that includes over 150 other nature groups province wide. The event calendar on their website is a super helpful tool when looking for local environmentally based activities like bird watching and hiking. They are currently a part of a lawsuit aimed at strengthening the 2007 Endangered Species Act and preventing industry from dodging the act's goals of protecting endangered species.
