Friendly knowledgeable staff, and high quality products. I have a small business and a wholesale account, but now it's $100.00 minimum per order.I never spent a lot at MRO, but for several years now I have been loyal to them and relied on MRO for anything wiring, electronically related, or small tools. As a business owner I understand, but I also don't agree with this new policy as (in my opinion) it's short sighted. I just discovered there is an electronics supplier on 11a st in NE Calgary, that also has friendly knowledgeable staff - and high quality products... without the $100.00 minimum purchase policy.

Having Read the other reviews here I can agree with most people that there are some really cool items stocked here and it is really fun to browse around.I also agree that the staff are quick to offer assistance, HOWEVER: the past 3 visits I've been very promptly informed they do not carry what I'm looking for... only to find it myself 2 minutes later.I find the atmosphere incredibly depressing and unmotivated.MOST IMPORTANTLY the prices! I understand that many shoppers here are for commercial purposes and their purchases are written off, but as an individual electronics hobbiest the experience is annoying and shockingly expensive. there are no prices for anything on the shelves, so it's always a jaw dropper at the till when your told your pack of 50 cheapo LEDs is 25$ instead of 10$ online. so if you have the time buy online, and make sure you do yor research before shopping here. and only do so if yo have the dime.

Staff are great and always helpful. Especially any custom cable orders they always do a great job and price is decent. While the store always has a lot of stuff in it I do find they are always out of stock on the particular item I need. They do however get it in very fast.

Taking my stars back. Used to be great to go in to find a whatchamacallit or a thingamajig you just didn't know the name for. Or you have a customer down that needs something up and running and can't wait a few days for Amazon. Oh well, will find someone else.

Called in and did a small order, need a business name to purchase, friendly phone sevice and got what I needed no hassles!

I used to shop here all the time. They were a great store with lots of components for all sorts of projects.I'm a freelancer that works on small projects and came looking for clear heat shrink tubing to label cables with. They had what I needed and they were $3.50 each. Great, I'll take two.Nope. There is a $25.00 minimum spend. Anything less, you need to open a business account. And as a freelancer, I don't qualify for one.What this essentially works out to is I'm just too small of a customer to make a sale to. They literally turned away my money for not buying enough.I used to really love this store; now I'll be finding a new supplier.

Call for availability. Poor hours. Poor selection for makers,-Update - Now implemented a $25 min purchase in store.Guessing they no longer want business? Instead of punishing your customers, just close up shop. I did an upsell today to get above $25, but will be ordering online now with this policy in place. You were good while you lasted.

Worst company i know of at this point. Almost a mail order only. Used to serve everyone but now solely focused on business to business. Great way to build relationship. When i asked questions they threw out all back to it was a corporate decision.

Good store but I'd much rather see the base prices on the shelf. I personally don't plan on going back to this store as its to expensive for me, princes auto has some of the components I do look for but ebay is a lot cheaper if your willing to wait. Although this does have the ULc stamp which is also what you pay for. Overall good quality thus far but over priced.
