Calgary Winter Club

Amazing experience with swimming at this facility. Super convenient with lots of options to swim laps or play in the beach pool with the grandkids. Everything supplied so just bring a bathing suit and a Brush and you’re all set to go! The whole facility is super clean and staff are super friendly and also amazing!

Beautiful facility for families. Absolutely loved the family change rooms. It was so easy showering and getting dressed in the spacious shower room with my 17 month old. They provide towels and all the products you’d need for washing up.

The oyster night on Fridays is a great way to catch up with friends at the end of the week. Nice service, good food from an interesting menu.

Calgary Winter Club is hosting the Canadian National Badminton Championship. Very impressed by all the work being done and great fun watching the players.

We have been members for more than 25 years from the time our children were infants and now as retirees. The fitness and Sport facilities at the Calgary Winter Club cannot be beat in the City of Calgary. The added bonus of being next door to nose Hill Park and having an extremely large parking lot make it a fabulous place for cross country running and dog walking as well..

Nice tour of these facilities and we were the guests. This private club offers many if not everything that would be found at a public community facility. However the experience is quite different, with mostly one on one attention. As a past member, from years ago, it was nice to see all the modern additions, the alternating 5 or 10 pin bowling lanes, the new pools, tennis buildings, climbing wall, restaurant expansion, Sports Tavern and more .....

It is a private (member only) club but you can book a tour and then be a member if you like it. It has a pool, skating rink, curling rink, badminton court, fitness centre, squash and tennis. Basically, you can stay here all day and yes you can leave your kids at the daycare. There are kids programs too that you can checkout on their website.

One of the main reasons I decided to join this club was that my children could just stay in one place for everything after school. How great is it to not have to drive around. I was especially excited about tutoring and music for the children. This is true if you want subpar tutoring and music. Though the tutor is a young student who seems nice enough, he does not have anyone to oversee him. In addition, the music teachers are subpar and costs more than if I went elsewhere. The music teaching was not structured and they did not challenge my children. The music manager, Irene Soby, was not open to feedback and in fact very confrontational, which came as a big surprise to me, as everyone working at the club has always been very friendly. I hope for the club to get better music teachers and tutors and to have better accountability of both these programs.

Love this place! Come here for dinner all the time. The prices are the same as any restaurants on 17 Ave. Staff are nice and friendly people. I came on a Saturday and had the best pork chop ever, nice, tender, and juicy. I came back on Tuesday night and had the worst pork chop ever, burnt, overcooked, dried, hard to chew, and tasteless.

This facility is so great, always enjoy the pool, bowling and climbing wall area. Great food options and the staff is so nice. Only complaint is the majority of interactions I’ve had with other members is very unpleasant. Not a lot of kind people that come to this place. Very judgmental and inpatient, I feel kinda sorry for them.
