Coast Oliver Hotel

Was not impressed with our stay. The room did not feel clean; found countless hairs on pillows and on bath towels. Linen was crumpled leading us to think (with the hairs) that they may not be clean. Each bed had only two pillows and the bed was too soft and left us with backaches the next morning. There were 'smudges' on the headboard of the bed and it was gross so we actually used lysol clean wipes to clean our sleeping area. Thankfully we brought our own wipes for the room because when we tried to use the bathroom, we noticed stains around on the floor in front of the toilet bowl (drips likely left from previous customer). We cleaned the bathroom floor as well because we didn't want to be walking barefoot on such gross floors.Overall, incredibly disappointed with the sense of `dirtiness' or `uncleanliness' of the room and bathroom. When brought to the attention of the hotel staff, we were told that maybe the hairs were from staff (which from one look we could tell it was not). That also does not explain why the bathroom floors had urine stains that had not been wiped clean.

The front desk manager was wonderful and a delight to work with when our daughters original birthday venue cancelled a few weeks before the party. They allowed our guests access to the pool to end the festivities which started at South Okanagan Physiotherapy and Active Wellness Center. They have blocked times for the hockey teams and adults to make the pool accessable to all their guests. The room was clean and their new line of bathroom toiletries are amazing, although I'll miss the Earth's body lotion. With picky eaters, the complimentary breakfast had something for everyone. Every staff member we passed gave greetings to provide a welcoming and at home atmosphere!You can hop on a part of the KVR trail that runs along the Okanagan channel through Oliver to take in some wonderful landscape and nature scenery.

Travelling with a dog so in a ground floor room with vinyl plank flooring. Room was very clean and perfectly adequate. Included breakfast exactly as expected. Nothing fancy but does the trick. Right next to river, trails and large green space so great for dogs. Within easy walk to restaurants and bakeries. Overall great location. Staff were great. Was some sort of firefighting event going on and hotel full of firefighters so expected a noise night. Was very quiet. Oliver looks like a great little town. Would stay again.

My son and his family stayed there last weekend. There for 3 nightsThey had to pay $1250This was extremely crazy. The breakfast was ho hum. The idea of housekeeping was to bring fresh towels daily. Nothing more was done.I checked the posted price on your website and it was so much cheaper than they had been chargedMy husband works in a business that there are a lot of tourists. In past he has suggested The Coast. He will not be doing that anymoreSo sad. Not a good experience

Beautiful new hotel set just off the river - I had a corner room with a lovely view of the river and the hills. Very clean and modern, friendly staff, and the included breakfast was a nice add-on.

Quiet rooms, nice hot tub, laughable exercise room, and half decent breakfast with microwaved sausage and eggs. The service is sub par for the price - don't expect bath robes for the pool, more than 1 glass in the room or good coffee.

Front desk staff were not helpful or friendly. Hotel was mostly empty but they still put us in the noisiest room on the 1st floor. Cleanliness of the room (especially the bathroom) was not acceptable. Re-usable soap and lotion dispensers were visibly soiled. Bathroom counter was dirty in the corners, walls were dirty. Could be the best hotel in town with some effort but Coast isn't getting it from this staff

Do not recommend this hotel especially if you are with a team. They won’t allow anyone to use the eating area to socialize, no loitering in the hallways, if you are talking to loudly in your room before quiet time they threaten to charge your room. Breakfast ran out and they don’t refill it. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a hotel.The bathroom in our room smelt like pee and my child found a pill on the floor.usually i’m not one to complain but this was bad and I feel others, especially teams, would like to know a head of time what their stay will look like.Sent an email to coast hotels.. still waiting for a response ..

My wife and I recently stayed in this hotel 1 nite. It is the biggest and newest hotel in Oliver.The room looked clean but upon further inspection the top edge of the tub had some marks in the shape of dark rings (like the ones left by a glass). My wife thought nothing of it. Must be a permanent mark, I mean what cleaner would leave Sonia’s obvious as that. My wife decided to take a wet tissue just to check…and yes, you guessed it… wiped right off.The hot water was not ‘hot’. Not cold, but not exactly hot.The elevator had major dust buildup on the ceiling fixture.The staff were super friendly but the cleanliness and lack of hot water are deal breakers for me and my wife.Leaving a 2 star review only because the reception and breakfast staff were really friendly.

Our favourite spot to stay when skiing outside of Oliver! Central hotel, great amenities, and pet friendly rooms! Everything you need from the hotel is within walking distance. There is also a great KVR walking trail right behind the hotel along the Creekside. This is a great bonus if you’re travelling with kids or pets. We have enjoyed many evening, walks along the creek in the winter months, beautiful, quiet environment. There is also a dog park just walking distance from the hotel. In the winter months you can take in all the festive Christmas lights. We have been coming back here for over three years!
