Chengdu Taste

Context: I am a picky customer, as someone who was born and raised in Szechuan, where this style of food originally comes from.Sorry this is not authentic at all. The dumpling wrappers are too thick, the filling is central kitchen frozen food style, and the soup seasoning and toppings are not authentic (not bone soup base).If you’re looking for clean food at a reasonable price, this can be an option; just don’t expect authentic food to avoid any disappointment.

This restaurant offers very authentic Sichuan food, not being modified to meet the major market, true to its origin. The store is quite small though, I wouldn't say it has the best dining environment, but very good food!

The flavour is absolutely amazing, very authentic. I'm from Chengdu, But this is exactly the same as Chengdu. Highly recommend 钟水饺 and 甜水面 lol.老妈蹄花 is Also great.

If you are looking for some authentic Chengdu street food, this is the right place to go. Not everything is spicy, recommend this ice jelly.

I was happy with the dish I ordered which were the wontons and beef stew with noodles but my husband was not very satisfied with his - beef stew with noodles. My dish came with a lot of wontons and beef but his barely came with anything! And the large we ordered is rather small. Luckily we ordered a third dish which was the pork blood and intestine. If you’re into spicy and flavourful - give this place a try but lower expectations on the portion size and inconsistent meat proportions.

Had the large spicy beef stew noodles takeout for lunch. Overall good experience. Was expecting medicore food, was positively surprised. Good soup, good beef flavor and good level of spice. Very solid noodle quality, and good quantity. Alright meats, could use a little more, but not bad. Only downside was that it was a little pricy, $17 no cash discount. Considering that the food is overall good, will call it fair valueDo recommend, will repeat eventually

Came for a quick bite with a friend around dinner time. The soup noodles we ordered was (for lack if better terms) kinda mid as well as the dry noodles we ordered (they didn’t have much of the noodle left though and just gave us dumplings instead). Seating was a bit cramped and it was really hot lol , ac system wasn’t great. Service was meh as well. Overall, it was an okay experience although I probably wouldn’t return in the future. Meal was a bit underwhelming and not that great overall.

My go to place when I miss the spicy and authentic Chengdu street food. Wonton and potato noodles combo is my fav, I love a bow of chicken soup wontons too. Small place but so good.

A very bad experience! I've been here many times before but today was very disappointing! The noodles to go have no broth at all, and are replaced with chili oil. It tastes terrible, and it's a far cry from what I've experienced before.

How was the food?the food tasted good, I am not exactly sure if this is authentic chengdu taste, but the food itself is quite oily, but don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the taste, I would just never in a million years recommend you the drink the soup (if you ordered the soup dish). This will probably also be the reason I would not come back here too often because I feel the food probably very unhealthy, but once in a while is probably okay.
