Calgary Girls Choir
I am so grateful for the many years that I sang in the Calgary Girls Choir. Choir taught me to appreciate music and to sing properly with confidence. I have gained many friends from choir, and really felt a sense of community. When I was going through some rough times, I knew I could always count on choir to be the one stable thing in my life, and it served as a good outlet for some of my emotions. I now use music a lot to help me deal with things, and I owe that to the Calgary Girls Choir. The choir helped me to realize the true power of music, and I can now integrate that into my life to use.

Calgary Girls Choir
I was able to be a part of the Calgary Girls Choir for 11 years, and it was one of the best experiences as a young girl. Ms Q is amazing, she has so much expertise and nurtures each of her girls to be their best - both as people and in music! The rehearsals, the training camps, and the tours are great memories for me and provided great formation. I'm so grateful for my time with the choir!

Calgary Girls Choir
My daughter joined the CGC 4 years ago, in her grade 9 year, and was warmly welcomed by the choristers and director right away. She had dabbled in private voice lessons for a few months beforehand, but she felt intimidated in a one-on-one setting. Not so with CGC! Her love of music, her singing ability and her confidence exploded very quickly after joining choir. Many of her favourite memories are linked to choir, from weekly rehearsals, which were always a highlight of her week, to touring to Wales, and singing at Alberta Ballet's Nutcracker. Nothing can compare to her positive experience with this choir!

Calgary Girls Choir
I sang with Ms. Quilichini for five years, from grade 8 til I graduated high school. It was one the best experiences of my growing up years. Elaine has a unique and amazing ability to teach voice and to bring beautiful music out of you. I believe I learned more from her in the choir setting than many do taking private lessons elsewhere. It's been 19 years since I moved away, but I'm still very regularly complimented on my voice (usually just by someone sitting near me in church) and I give all the credit to Elaine as I've never taken lessons from anyone else. She's given me a great gift and I'm so grateful I was part of her choir.

Calgary Girls Choir
My little kiddo was so shy not only with singing but with interacting with anyone. She has come out of her shell and is much more confident in singing but more importantly to me at least, confident in herself. She loves putting on little mini-shows for us now. Love what they can do for the girls. Elaine is able to focus the choir to understand the techniques with lots of fun sprinkled in!

Calgary Girls Choir
The Calgary Girls Choir is has been my daughters happiest space for the last nine years. The musical education and insight, life lessons, organizational expectations and the interaction with like minded friends combine to create an invaluable experience. We are extremely grateful to Mrs Q, the administrative and artistic co-ordinators and the the extraordinary parent volunteers. Calgary Girls Choir rocks!!

Calgary Girls Choir
Choir and singing has always been my happy place, so even if my day was bad or I just wasn’t feeling good I would always get to choir rehearsal and forget all about it. I would put myself fully into the music. Choir has also taught me a tremendous amount of responsibility, hard work and dedication that I now have for the future. I am very thankful to the Calgary Girls Choir for this.

Calgary Girls Choir
My daughters have been in this choir since they were in kindergarten - (and my oldest just graduated grade 12 this year). I can’t say enough good things about the Calgary Girls Choir. The quality of music is excellent and the education they have received, not only in music, but also personal growth, friendship, and self confidence has kept us signing them up year after year.

We feel truly blessed to be part of this wonderful music family. Mrs Q is such a talented loving mentor for these young ladies. This choir has added such beautiful memories to our love. Calgary Girls Choir
Choir was such a lovely addition to my schedule this year. Sometimes it was hard to make myself login after a long stressful day at work, but I was always so glad I did. The songs were great - just the right level of difficulty. Challenging enough to be interesting, but not hard enough to be scary. The virtual choir was a cool experience. I was so happy to have been a part of that. So excited to hopefully sing in person next year! Thanks for the experience!
