Promus Kawarthas

We experienced extensive water damage from an ice dam on the roof. Promus arrived within 2 hours of the call to our insurer. They were thorough, polite, and always respectful of the fact that they were coming in to our home. Their counselling advice was helpful and reassuring, explaining every step of the procedure. Their workmanship was prompt and extremely professional. No one wants a damaged home but Promus made the very best of an unfortunate experience.

I can't speak highly enough of Shawn and all of the staff at Promus! within two hours of my phone call to my insurance company Shawn and an insurance adjuster were at our house assessing and within two hours of that they had a crew in there with commercial dehumidifiers and fans. They ripped out the affected floor and drywall and started the drying procedure and when things got dried up, immediately began the restoration. We were contacted by the office staff daily to be made aware of what the restoration specialists were doing the next day and to see if we had any questions or concerns. Everyone that worked on our project was very professional, very friendly, accommodating and courteous, always happy and upbeat and my wife and I had no concerns about who was in our house while we were both at work. The job was completed to perfection in a very timely fashion especially considering that it included the Christmas and New Years holidays! We feel that everyone involved went out of their way to turn a disaster into a pleasurable and carefree experience! I never though I would say I'm happy my basement flooded. Our insurance company recommended Promus Kawarthas to us and I'm so happy they did! Shawn & Allen were wonderful to deal with in planning the renovation. Carrie & Donna were always pleasant over the phone and great about giving us a heads up to any changes. Then there is their incredible renovation team. There were probably about 15 people who came through for different tasks and everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, quick and respectful to our home. I didn't catch everyone's names but a big thank you to Glenn, Jeff, Nicki and Kate. Also we had one contractor, Paul, who was here nearly every day of the job, he went above and beyond, inspecting everything and making sure we were 100% happy, he was incredible.Everyone on the job genuinely cares about their work and making sure we were happy. We are happily showing off our new basement to anyone who comes to visit and everyone thinks it's beautiful. We will happily use Promus again in the future and will recommend to everyone they do the same. Our daughter thanks you all for her new, safe and warm playspace. Our dogs thank you for all the extra scratches and petting they received from everyone. My husband and I thank you for our beautiful new basement and your kindness over the course of the renovation.

Tony, our project manager, was very professional and helpful whenever we needed advice or had questions. Not being from the area, he was able to give us excellent contacts when we were looking for contractors. i.e.., tree cutting services, flooring, etc.The project work exceeded our expectations and done in a timely manner.We would definitely recommend Promus to anyone in the future.

Tony and his crew were fantastic in our home! They were easy to deal with, and finished in a timely manner. My kitchen has never looked so good! We will use them next time we have a situation like this for sure.

I have required the services of Promus about 5 times in the last 10 years--2 of them on the same day at 2 different locations! Despite the relative trauma of the events that required Promus, I have to say that they have, without exception, provided prompt, professional, courteous, and friendly service. The results have always been top-notch. I can even say that the staff and various service providers have made the whole restoration process a PLEASANT experience--and that's saying a lot! Promus goes above and beyond to lessen the trauma and worry relating to the damages that require their services. 5 stars, for sure!

Very disappointed in the Kawartha Lakes Branch. We opened a claim based on weather damage for our roof. Al @ Promus said it was maintenance and not damaged due to the wind/ice storm. He couldn’t see “any trees down around the property.” Guess why? They were already cut up and put into wood piles. Thankfully we were able to have our adjuster use a different company who did a thorough job of assessing and did not just pass it off to the next person. Always get a second opinion if you feel the first wasn’t properly done!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Promus after we experienced a flood that affected three levels of our home. Shawn was quick to assess the damage and plans for repair began immediately. Throughout the entire process we were in constant contact with the Promus staff who outlined the next steps and what to expect. One particular thing that stood out was how regardless of using various contractors, the date of completion did not change. They completed everything to our expectations and on time. A++

After my house flash froze last year Shaun and the team came in and took care of everything with a lot of positive energy. They were part excellent trades, part therapists, and made the whole experience far less painful. They did an excellent job!

We work in conjunction with Shawn Barrett and the gang at Promus on a weekly basis. I find them to be one of the most organized, and easy to work with businesses to deal with that I have come across both in my time with Newton Electric, and in my time with Westburne prior to that.
