Amazing riding experience with Mac MaKenny. Our daughter got the best Birthday present ever. Her first horseback lesson turned into unforgettable memories.

Home to some amazing horses! Mac does a great job on teaching you how to interact with the horses and immediately you can tell how well they're treated here. I've ridden horses in several other places before and this is the most thorough instruction I've seen given on how to respectfully mount, brush, handle and lead your horse. If you have well-founded anxiety around these large and beautiful creatures this is probably the best place to learn how to ride. Mac takes the time to ensure you not only understand but can also confidently follow through with instructions to feel safe on your horse. Captain Morgan is probably the best horse I've ever ridden, standing like a statue when I mounted and almost anticipating every signal I gave to turn or stop. I can't wait to take a lesson with Mac sometime in the future to learn more about the horses :)

I signed my two boys (9&7) up for the grooming clinic that Mac is offering, and when I tell you that I’m blown away, I’m not kidding. From the very start- you enter the ranch and are welcomed with gorgeous views & the very friendly dogs Buddy & Sammy! (They are the cutest things too!) We ended up being early and Mac was super gracious and understanding. He allowed my other two children + my boys and I to get out and walk around while he prepared for todays session/clinic! His demeanour is just so welcoming and friendly!! We had two other wonderful residents (Carla and I can’t remember the gentlmans name) join us as we pet the horses and dogs while we waited for Mac! The grooming clinic went off without a hitch and Mac was such a great teacher! It was the PERFECT experience this morning for my kiddos and I ! My kiddos didn’t want to leave & are already asking when we can go back!! I HIGHLY recommend Homeplace Ranch and can’t wait to return again soon!!

My 9 year old daughter and I had a great time riding with Mac and his horses. It was our first time riding a horse and Mac made sure we had a great time. I would highly recommend Homeplace Ranch for the experienced to beginner rider. Young and old will have a great time.

My partner and I went here today for a trail ride, I highly recommend going for a ride at this ranch it is very beautiful, nice view and good trails, I sure love caption Morgan, very gentle horse! And sure loves to jog lolThe owner is amazing and so is his staffThanks we will be back5 star for sure

Mac is an incredible teacher and at home place ranch you get the full experience. From brushing the horse to putting the saddle away: mac meets you where you are at so it's a great place for all riding levels. Cant say enough good, and the scenery is breathtaking.

From the drive there to the time on the saddle, it's a great way to spend a half day/ day in the mountains and hills.
