Belle Park

This place is super cool and has a lot of history! It's an unmarked burial ground - in the 1700s it was inhabited by Indigenous people. It also has an abandonned golf course to explore. Lots of hidden trails in the woods but be mindful; it is 'Tent city' where a lot of homeless people live. Not good for bringing children as there is often discarded needles and drug paraphernalia around (if you go off trail). Interesting fact: Belle park is actually on an island! They were going to build a beach there until they found the remains of Indigenous people and so they stopped building the beach and re burried the remains. If you walk to the end, you will see where they had started building a beach. Nice view of the st Lawrence river there as well.

I find it unacceptable that this park has been turned into a wasteland and it appears that few local taxpayers use it due to the squatters and trash (including drug items). The potential is high but it's almost like they are letting it go so it can be developed rather than used as real green space. Instead of appeasing the sign wavers spend on things that would help the people who live and pay taxes in this area.

Could be a nice park but unfortunately been occupied by a homeless encampment for a while. Apparently the city is planning to clear it out soon. Hopefully the park is fixed up soon!

Nice park for everyone even your dog. Feel free to walk your dog as Dog walking is aloud please be courteous to others walking there dogs and keep everything safe.There's lots of nice nature to see it's a quiet place to go You can walk through or cycle through whatever you enjoy. There are garbage bins that are accessible when your at the entrance and in the park itself visible upon entry.there are lots of nature to be seen as it's a pretty big park. There are paths that provide entry to KP trail and it's close to the water of the saint Lawrence River and lake Ontario. I visit this place frequently as I ride my bike through some of the paths. this park is very well maintained and beautiful I would highly recommend this spot. . lots of trees also in certain areas so shade is provided which is good for elderly people or anybody that just wants to get out of the hot sun You can visit in summer or winter if you would like to overall very nice spot to visit

Belle park is no longer beautiful. It's basically been abandoned by the city. Tennis courts are unplayable, golf course has a few years of natural growth now. You can still play basketball and pickleball if you don't mind playing in the weeds.

I go here to walk my dog through the grassy fields. Crickets, grasshoppers frogs and snakes keep in interesting for him.

This was totally 5 stars until the tents started piling up at the entrance so sad(Beavers, swans, osprey, bird watching and hand feeding birds hiking biking photography or fresh air; if you want to walk through the tents and the over-sharing communal tenents)

Neat park, interesting... A place where interesting people go... Everyone has a right be there if they choose...
