Dutch Point Trails

Nice short trail mostly with fine crushed gravel (red circuit). It branches out into 5 slightly more difficult trails in the woods, take a look at the map picture in the review. All trails are well maintained; fallen trees are chopped and out of the way and no growth on the path. Red path is ok for kids or strollers, others no so much. Trails can be a get a bit buggy, make sure to spray bug replant especially if wondering into the blue trail. Keep your pets on a leash. Decent parking available at the top of the trail at the intersection of Gordon st and Duch point road but can get full pretty quickly if there's a baseball game happening in the park nex to it.

This trail is a beautiful place for you and your family to spend a day. New trails are added all the time keeping every visit interesting, and the locations it brings you to are always beautiful or convenient for hanging out with kids or pets. I bring my dog in all the time and it has helped both of us get into shape with the different difficulties brought by each new trail put in. Have fun and stay safe!

As a kid we played cops and robbers, sledded, and rode mountain bikes through these woods. Nowadays our childhood trails are fully groomed walking tracks, bridges cross the mucky streams we slogged thru much to the chagrin of our parents, and there are beautiful vistas over the marshes that we took for granted as 10 year olds with wild imaginations.The Dutch Point Park and trail systems are a quiet success of forward thinking recreational and urban planning, that understood the need for connection to nature and sustainable urban park planning. The trails are well marked and maintained, interpretive signage educates and informs, and an assortment of benches, shelters, and infrastructure encourage you to stay and while awhile.Developments like this make me proud of my hometown and the vision they have for harmony with nature and public space

Very well maintained hiking trails, with some good views.All within a great little Town.Well worth a visit, bring your hiking shoes, keep your dog on a leash and get out and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Cute little trail system.A few kilometres of gravel trails suitable for bicycles or strollers, and some rougher trails unsuitable for strollers.
