No way to reach customer service. Automated voice mail asks you to key ext.#.Says office is closed but I'm calling during their business hours.

I am extremely disappointed with Nikon and their service. It’s been an ordeal to say the least. I have used Nikon equipment for 20+ years and never had an issue with the cameras or lenses. That is until I purchased the D750. It broke and was repaired multiple times within a year and each time I was in contact with a Nikon service rep, but no one is able to answer my question - how many times does it have to break before it’s replaced?? I want to know how many times I’m expected to return it for repair and pay for shipping before Nikon says ‘it’s not worth it to continue repairing it.’ I’m not happy that the repairs aren’t sticking and I’m disappointed no one can find the root cause. I’m tired of paying for shipping and being without my camera for multiple weeks, and I’m beyond frustrated I can’t get an answer to my question. Even though I love Nikon lenses, I’m so upset with this whole situation that I’m considering leaving Nikon.

Sent my Nikon D5300 and Nikon 18-55mm lens in for servicing. Great customer service answering all my questions. The quotes were fair and accurate. A pleasure dealing with Peter and Kyle.

I have a problem with one of my lenses and also wanted to bring in my camera for the maintenance. I called in Nikon Canada today and I was told that I can only mail in my items. Why would I spend $200 dollars on shipping the item plus insurance cost, when the maintenance itself will not cost that much. I am only around the corner of your location and it would cost small fraction of that cost to bring in person. As a professional photographer for over 30 years, I have never experience such a low customer service from Nikon. You guys were number one, but this is a really bad service and unexpectable. Using Covid as an excuse is even more maddening and insulting, especially now when the number in Toronto GTA area are minimum. Honestly this is such a low move from Nikon. I have no words to express how I feel about, you expecting customers to mail items to you. Customers being treated this way and not being able to come in person to talk to one of your specialist regarding equipment issues, tells me how much you care about your customers. Losing a human touch in your business, is seriously going to impact your business in the future. Right now if i could score you zero, that's what you would get from me for the experience at Nikon Canada today.

I was really skeptic about the mail-in my camera. Especially with the mix reviews. However, my camera needed maintenance really bad, so I decided to go ahead. I had to say the shipping cost to the service centre was expensive because I had to choose a good carrier and insure the camera. For the camera service, it was great, the turn around time was fast (mine was about 4 business days) , the technician actually called me to discuss my repair options and gave out great suggestions. I rated my experience 4 of 5 for overall.

Nikon is happy to take your money, but will not service their products. I have a D800 that is now a very expensive paperweight. I will never buy a Nikon product again, and will advise and warn my PhotoShop students about what a shady company Nikon is.

I called Nikon with a few questions (since I couldn't drop in) and I got Peter. He was outstanding... He went above and beyond in dealing with my questions and updates over the phone and giving me some tips about my camera - even scheduling a call-back to further help. Thank you Peter. That said, I would really like to see the service counter open up again since mailing the cameras is a big concern and expense.

This is the last and only Nikon service centre in Canada, and I would not recommend it. The prices listed online are significantly lower than anything you will end up paying for your service, and they do not service older equipment. This includes simple requests like sensor cleaning on models like the d800 (released in 2012). To me, an 11 year old camera is not that old considering how these cameras are built to last.Their higher priced services (which ended up being nearly double the list price on the site), include things like cleaning and rubber replacement. My camera received none of this and I had to send it back to Nikon (from BC) after I got it back the first time. Once it came back it had the rubber grip replaced but the camera still had not been cleaned, dust was still present in the dial areas and other spots and there was gunk in the hot shoe connector that was not there when I sent it. They also wanted nearly $400 to replace the middle button from the multi-selector that fell out of my d850 (its a pop-in piece). To their credit, the second time I sent it in, after demonstrating frustration, they expedited the shipping and provided me with a shipping label to send it back. However, I was still without my my cameras for nearly a month. It also does not help that the communication modes through the Nikon site are terrible, and these are what must be used to facilitate everything.I love my Nikons and have been using them for about 15 years, and used to bring them into the Richmond location when they had it. (I actually stuck with Nikon over Canon years ago because there was a service centre in BC). The service there was great and you got what you paid for. I'm afraid that while Nikon cameras are great, the service end is done and can no longer be trusted, especially at a reasonable cost. As my gear ages out of service, I will be switching from Nikon to a camera company that provides more care and ease in their mechanical services.Save yourself the hassle and don't buy Nikon anymore.
