Honestly would like to understand the higher ratings from others here. Perhaps the current context is very distinct from when they did. Food is good however the disorganized and careless service leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth to say the least. Not for me or my guests. We were 8 and not 1 said they would return. Off night? Maybe. Everyone is human. C'est la vie. Or should I say 'ine zoe'.

This is a wonderful authentic restaurant with beautiful presentation of fresh Greek cuisine! Not only is the food great but the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are welcoming and truly do all they can to make your dining experience perfect. Every dish we tried was amazing!

Best dinner our family has ever had. Our server was George and he made the night so special. Food, service, ambiance, everything was out of this world amazing!! Thank you for making tonight such a special event for our family!

We had a wonderful dinner last night. 2 couples. I had the lamb chops with truffle fries, my wife the braised lamb with orzo, the other couple shared a sea bass with Greek potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They bring you delicious grilled flat bread with roasted garlic to start. Baklava cheese cake for dessert! The staff is very welcoming and our server was a young woman who was very polite, friendly and experienced. A very pleasant evening. The quality of the food is top notch!

From right when we walked in Demi our hostess made us feel very welcome and was very accommodating!!!our waiter George was outstanding explaining the menue and having us try food that we haven’t ever tried and the suggestions were amazing the two were an awe team we are here for five days and the only sad part about that is Mon they are closed can’t wait for Tues the oysters were so fresh !!! Highly recommend!!!!

My husband and I went to Kavos for the first time last night with another couple. It was a toss up between Kavos and another place in Old Montreal. We're so glad we chose Kavos instead.Started with drinks at the bar and the barmaid was polite and very friendly. She actually wanted to talk to us who were sitting at the bar! A nice change from some of the barmaids/barmen we've been served by recently, who pay more attention to their phones.For dinner we were served by Peter. In terms of service and wait time, everything was pretty reasonable. For appetizers we ordered the fried zucchini/eggplant, fried calamari, and pikilia. Everything was great except we were a little disappointed that there was no kopanisti (not sure if it was because they ran out or just an oversight). Fried zucchini was awesome because it wasn't oily like at other restaurants.For the main course we ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and no complaints there.The restaurant was busy but not overbearing. I love that the tables are far apart so you're not elbow to elbow with the table next to you.Five stars+, we'll definitely be back and would love to organize networking/fundraising events here in the future.

My favourite Greek restaurant in Montreal. Best Calamari I’ve ever had, best steak I’ve had and very creative menu. Large portions, you really get what you pay for. The atmosphere is very nice as well.

Food was great and the servers are really nice! We were a big group but they still took the time to care for us. The ambiance is a little dark, perfect for dates or family dinners.

Service was great! The bar staff were an absolute delight to spend time with. This is definitely the best thing about staying at Ruby Foos. I will be stopping back in next time I'm in town no matter where I stay. I only drank at the bar, but the food smelled wonder too.
