I just discovered this store when I went to Highland IDA Pharmacy in the same mall. The store is large and the items are nicely displayed. Cannot see the jewelry in the showcase; would probably buy jewelry if i could see it. The furniture is seriously pricey, the dishes are unbelievably pricey.

Prices are absolutely ridiculous for a place that's strictly run on donations and volunteers. Also are not very friendly, have only been in a handful of times but always feel the man at the register watches people like a hawk. How do you people justify pricing donations so high ? Should be ashamed of yourselves for a place that's suppose to be there to help people I dont think your much help. Maybe should change your store name to Satan De Paul instead more fitting for the amount of greed this place has. I thought value village was expensive but man you guys take the cake!!!

We thought we were donating to good cause. Younger volunteer was ok but the old driver was ignorant. I guess he forgot who’s home he was in. I should have told him to leave and just made another trip to the dump. He broke a piece of furniture putting in the truck and then wouldn’t take it. He picked through everything we had like it was a garage sale and would only take what looked like new. I get that they don’t want beat up furniture but a minor scratch. Come on! I’ll never call them again.

Not sure if the manager was just having a bad day or if she's always miserable. She was very rude when I accidentally approached the donations door, not realizing that the main entrance was around the corner. Once inside the store I overhead her say oh not that guy" when an associate told her that someone had a question about an item. She then went over to the customer and said "what do you want

I’ve been buying used furniture and find the prices for things like cupboards and tables to be high in comparison to other stores. I paid for a chair yesterday but couldn’t take it as I needed help on this end to get it inside. Went back today and a young man put it in my car and advised me to drive safely.Very Sweet! Somebody from the facility needs to go out some day for a couple of hours and visit Value Village and Uptown Thrift and some of the other places to compare how they price their furniture. The dishes and housewares are priced competitively. I’m not shopping for clothing so can’t comment.

23 Aug.2019 1600 hrs. First time at store, just browsing . Came across a single mattress which I decided to buy. It was against two other mattresses which were tied against the wall with a piece of rope. Not aware of store policy I carefully removed the single and secured the other two back to the wall, As I went to take it to the counter a woman who was apparently an employee, called to me in a very rude and obnoxious voice ( from a distance)and said I can't take it but we may have some in the back.It is only when I backed up 10 feet from the display I noticed a very large sign on the wall posted extremely high that made reference to seeking employee assistance if you should wish to purchase a mattress. I did not notice the posting due to the fact I usually don't do my browsing by staring approx. 8 feet up a wall. I wasn't even looking for a mattress and when I did come across the display of mattresses, the sign was definitely not in view due to the extreme posted height and proximity to the display of mattresses . NO WHERE did it say DISPLAY MODELS ONLY . I did continue with my purchase and had to pay for it through the same employee unfortunately. She wore a scowl the entire time through the check out process. She was VERY RUDE !I was considering browsing for other possible purchases but I felt it was best I did not risk the wrath of this employee. And of course I didn't want to be scolded like a small child again. If she worked for my business she would be fired immediately. As for the male employee that was working at the counter and I spoke to prior to my encounter with the female I refer to, he was almost just as unfriendly !Will I ever return.......really ?

Volunteers may not want to be here because some are doing community service for a crime they committed. Name brand clothing items are overpriced and the paid staff are judgmental. Although the store is well organized they have ugly furniture on the floor for a purpose which is to give it to less than fortunate folks who have vouchers to receive furniture for free which makes sense since beggars can't be choosers. The paid staff take the best of the best for themselves and sell art (and other collectibles) that have value on Kijiji (not sure where the profit goes, hmmm...). This store is the most corrupt non profit I've seen.

I don't always find anything to buy but the colour-coordinated displays in this store are worth a visit (kudos to whoever leads the merchandising here!). Plenty of stock. All clothes were half-price the day I was there. On reading the reviews I question the comments about items - especially the furniture - being over-priced. It is tough to hit the right note with pricing in second-hand stores: too cheap and it gets scooped up for resale on Kijiji or consignment in a for-profit store. Too expensive and those with money will buy new. It also begs the question: is the store supplying cheap goods for those who can't afford to buy new or are they raising funds to help get ppl back on their feet as another poster described?
