went here earlier today to purchase a new vacuum as my previous dyson was basically toast- the guy running it is so kind. showed how to use the new vacuum/how to take care of it in the long run :) highly recommend this place.

Really wonderful owner! So helpful and we are so happy with our purchase. A vacuum cleaner may seem like a small thing but this man cares a lot and has made this corner of our lives a little better!

My son bought a vacuum here and told me about his positive experience. My Dyson had given up the ghost so it was time to get a real quality vacuum. Max took the time to understand my needs and recommended a German-made Miele suitable for carpeted and hardwood flooring. He then spent over half an hour walking me through every imaginable tip for maintaining and using the vacuum. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything vacuum!As a small shop at Queen and Woodbine, it meant I was keeping it local. You would also never get this personalized experience at a big box store. Finally, the price was as good as anything online, but the truth is I would have paid a premium for the level of service. I also have the confidence that if anything happens to go wrong, Max will back it up.

This man should not be owning a business. Took my vacuum in for a repair as I did three years ago to the same place. As before, the owner's recommendation was to trade it in for a different refurbished model for an extra $200. I was told it would cost the same to repair. I did this three years ago and wasn't sure I wanted to go that route again. I also enquired about the cost of a new vacuum. (He also stated how the cleaning lady may have improperly placed the vacuum bag in the vacuum, causing debris to enter the motor. Huh??? Cleaning lady?? What cleaning lady? This reference was also made 3 yrs ago.) I told him I'd think about it and be in touch and thanked him and, as I was leaving, he mentioned this was a limited time offer only. I was taken aback by this comment and mentioned then that, in that case, I wouldn't be returning. His response was Wow, then don't come back to my store again, for me to go and never come back. What atrocious customer service! For a customer not to be able to think about a repair or purchase and to be treated with such disrespect is absolutely appalling. There are 2 other vacuum repair shops not too far away, with much better reviews, that will be getting my business moving forward, that will certainly offer better customer service and probably won't reference a non-existent cleaning lady!

Max sold me my Miele vacuum for a great price four years ago and gave us some extra accessories and bags for free. He was extremely helpful in showing us how to care for it and what to avoid. I haven't had any problems with the vacuum and would buy another from him if we needed one.

You do not get customer service like that anymore! Max was so knowledgeable and patient. He gave me a better price than Amazon, a generous warranty, and a full tutorial on how to use and care for my new Miele. Incredible service. Highly recommend!

My experience with Max at Vacuum Chek was exceptional. Max was knowledgeable, honest, and gave me a very fair price on a nice Miele vacuum (this specific model is made in Germany).After I bought the vacuum he recommended to me, he spent about 10 minutes showing and explaining how I can ensure I get the longest life out of it by avoiding common mistakes. As someone who repairs vacuums, he know what often causes their failure and he he was very thorough in educating me. That's the sort of service and help that you would never receive in a department store so I'm very glad I chose to go here.I'd highly recommend Vacuum Chek to anyone in the market for a new vacuum.

They always have the Persil powdered detergent in stock and owner suggested I use the liquid Perwoll detergent not just for wool, cashmere, silk, etc. but also to clean my entire bathroom!!! Yes, it works incredibly well on all surfaces except glass/mirrors and a thimble-full goes a looooong way. Needs rinsing.Great tip!! Thank you :)

The owner there was so disrespectful when I walked in just today. Didn’t want me to touch the vacuum I wanted to look at and buy. Said I could see it in the window there if I want to buy it. The little time I had with it (30 sec) he kept in taking it back from me to store back up on the window. I expressed my frustration and disappointment with him and he said the vacuum is there buy it or not. Told me by touching it I could scratch it on his carpeted store floor. Very disappointing. He should also learn not to ramble on too much. Doesn’t know when to stop. How he’s still business I don’t know.

After being frustrated at big box stores lack of service, so glad I found Vacuum Chek! Was given full demonstration, very happy with my purchase! They also do repairs in house which is awesome and feels great to support local small business.
