The Captain's Boil
We went here for the first time today and I felt so disappointed. I think it will also be my last time coming here because I was actually not satisfied with the food. First of all it was so salty. I don’t know what you did to my king crab legs sea food boil but the sauce was extremely salty to the point where I had to order a different food which was the clams and mussels just to compare if the sauce was really supposed to be like that. When I tasted the cajun sauce of the mussel and clam it was surprisingly fine (better than the cajun sauce of the king crab). I was wondering why this happened but I didn’t bother being a Karen because there were too many people and I felt ashamed to even ask seeing how busy it was today. Please look into your salt pouring/measuring because imagine going to sea and drinking the salty water, that is what the sauce tasted like. For having to pay $150 I must say it is not worth it. Great trial and error though. Try at your own risk.

Took my family for a nice seafood dinner. This was beyond my expectation; staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean. The food was amazing!! The portions are BIG, the flavor is spectacular. Loved the lobster, mussels, shrimp, veggies, rice, chicken, fries. The energy was fun - music playing, guests enjoying their food. After we finished our seafood feast we were already planning our next visit.Definitely going back.

The Captain's Boil
Just ate here with my family.Truly disappointed. Portions are a rip off. As I have eaten at other captains fromHere. And also Alberta.Fried rice literally barely filled 4 cups for us.Chicken fingers and fries we ordered for our kids 1 1/2 Chicken fingers for a full order. What a joke. We asked and they just told us it is what it is.Next the seafood we ordered. They dropped it off to us. Right off the start the 2lbs of snow crab. It was extremely salty. We tried waving down the waitresses. But no luck.Next they dropped off the clams, mussels and shrimp. Still extremely salty. We tried to tell the server. And we just got ignored. The service was incredibly bad as they didn’t even bother checking up on us.At the end we didn’t finish our food. When I walked up to pay the bill. I told the server the food was very salty and probably the worst I ever had at captains boil. She addressed it to the other cooks and servers. While handing me the bill for the bad food.I decided to not tip and because I truly disappointed. Feel free to contact me through reply on this as you can figure out who I am.I highly don’t recommend going here. As there is plenty of other places in Vancouver to go to.

The Captain's Boil
No bells and whistles - just straight steamed seafood in amazing sauce. Unapologetically delicious. The Cajun fries were also great especially when you dip them in the sauce. We ordered the captain boil’s sauce for both the shrimp and the mussels with mild spicy. The sauce was amazing! And just the right amount of spiciness. They both came in plastic bags. This time I was there they went out of the bibs so that was unfortunate.Dinner time was very busy. Lots of take out orders too.

My experience there was amazing. When i entered, i got seated quickly. I am amazed by the customer service. The staff there were very kind and patient. I was there as a hangout with family and everyone enjoyed their food. My favourite dishes there has to be the fried rice and chicken wings. The portion sizes for the price were very reasonable and pretty good. 10/10 would recommend to everyone and will definitely go again.

The Captain's Boil
Celebrated a birthday and wanted a whole lobster. So we ordered the Pirate's Feast. Oh boy, what a feast! The Captain's Boil sauce is soooo finger-licking good (a tad too salty but still yummy nonetheless) and all the seafood we selected were fresh and cooked just nice. Besides the corn being too soggy to our liking, everything else was on point. Obviously the two of us could only manage half of the feast and had to pack the rest home. It's our first time here and we were guided by the nice servers how to order. Will be back for sure.

It was good experience to get together with your friends and eat here in lunch time.food is fresh and warm to serve. There is no plastic bib now but they still have plastic gloves. We celebrate my Birthday here and the service is good, they let us barrow a plate for a cake that we bring it there. We are 8 people dine in here and tell me I need to pay additional 15% gratitude as we have exceed people to sit in,which is understandable.Over all we defineitly come back here agakn

The service was very bad. The server put my receipt on top of dirty empty and oil shells. Why she put the receipt on of top the garbage instead of handing it to me?

We went around 5:45pm. Place was not busy. The staff was attentive, we're seated quickly. It was our 1st time there so we were nervous and having trouble following the menu. We got a staff explaining it us. He patiently did so. Our orders came quickly and piping hot. Price was reasonable. But the only unpleasant thing was 2 of us (out of 4) experienced slight food poisoning after that meal. We all ate the same meal and did not have anything else before or after our visit to this restaurant. May 2 of us managed to eat 1 or 2 shellfishes that had gone bad.
