Kindred Community Farm Sanctuary is a special place where you feel like you belong. There is kindness, compassion and acceptance for all who walk, waddle or trot the healing grounds. In my experience, this is the place where everyone is respected just by being who they are. The volunteers and staff are committed to caring for our animal friends and in doing so, our animal friends are our greatest teachers. You could say that these relationships are sacred. This is an amazing farm sanctuary that rescues at risk animals and also runs programs for at risk children. They help each other. I volunteer here. I fell in love from my very first visit. I show up to help but really I think I get more than I have given.

Kindred farm is such a special place of healing for humans and animals alike. I have seen and experienced first hand the warmth, compassion and empathy that the volunteers have for caring for all the animals. The programs for children and front line workers is truly inspiring and serves to strengthen the human-animal bond. Organizations like these are so valuable to the community!

Help those who need it is my philosophy, yet this farm clearly doesn’t attend to animals in need and thus, doesn’t practice this view. Too bad!

This place has very few animals which they are over concerned with micro managing as opposed to looking at the bigger picture, & helping those who need it. For example my mom had a disabled rooster who needed a place, this farm put absolutely no effort into helping this sweet rooster & I imagine many other animals too have been turned away. (Unfairly) Very disappointing behaviour, seemingly this place is for the people not the animals. True animal lovers will always find a way to help!

Kindred Farm truly embraces the meaning of the word 'sanctuary' ...a place of refuge and safety for farm animals, volunteers, children and adults. The founder has infused the farm with love, compassion, trust and respect for all.I volunteer at the farm and find it to be the most rewarding volunteer work I have ever done. Whether you are looking to personally volunteer and/or to donate to an amazing charity, this is the one that ticks all the boxes. It is especially good for the soul in these challenging times in our world.Our work with at risk children and first responders, supervised by a clinical counsellor, has been very well received with glowing reviews. Our rescued animals blossom in their new forever home and create a bond with their human caregivers that benefits both.Consider getting involved.
