It’s obvious that this office has a toxic work environment. There are negative and aggressive notes posted all over the walls and the office staff have no interest in being helpful and are quite frankly lazy and lack communication skills. Every step of my delivery was mismanaged by the people in the office. I talked to 4 different drivers while I was there are they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s the office staff that is terrible.

Denise in the Kelowna office is a rockstar!!!! A huge thank you to the dispatcher and driver for SomaLife's shipment today..I want to recognize all of you and to say THANK YOU is not near enough for getting this done for me today. This whole process was a nightmare and OverLand West STEPPED UP and got it done....

After reading some of the reviews, I have to put my own down here to give an internal perspective on the company for customers and people on the outside looking in.Firstly, Overland has been one of the best transport companies I've worked for to date. It's a high paced environment, friendly coworkers and as one of the busiest terminals in BC we do our best to ensure both quality and efficiency when receiving, shipping and delivering shipments. Not everyone has the same experience but that goes for any transport company out there. Not every company has a 100% perfect track record but we do do our best to make sure our customers get their shipments on time and in a professional manner.We are also a large freight company and don't usually deal with small boxes like Canada Post, Purolator or UPS. Our freight is palletized so we use pallet jacks, not necessarily dollies to deliver items. We are also a curbside service just like Canada Post and Purolator, and can't always bring it around back for you or place it inside your home due to liabilities and time and efficiency for our other customers, no matter how large or heavy your shipment(s) may be.We are also one of the only companies that cover the entire Okanagan interior including snowy back roads, up in the mountains and households where no other courier goes to because it's out of their area of service. We do not have out of service areas.I know personally I have gone above and beyond for most of my customers when delivering their freight and have always had a positive and professional attitude both on the road and when making the delivery. I've had a load of people tell me they are extremely happy with our service and sometimes you don't even hear about it or see the review, because it went smoothly, as it should.So if you've had a bad experience I apologize and we do our best to make sure we keep them positive rather than negative, but just like any company out there, just like anyone's life, things don't always go according to plan but we do our best to adapt to ensure quality and efficiency aren't sacrificed when handling shipments.

One off there drivers 5 20 2022 dam near rear end a cars 16 kms from revelstoke today then had to go into the west bound lane to avoid hitting the cars .the driver was speeding and driving a white pete

I had a very good experience with this company. The lady that contacted me about my delivery was very polite, friendly and professional. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. The delivery was very much on time and the truck driver Chris was very friendly and helpful. He used his power pallet jack to put the 300lb pallet right inside my garage, exactly where I wanted it. I would recommend this company. Thanks for the great service.

Almost was in an accident today with one of your drivers coming throughout west kelowna. Your driver decided to turn into the right-lane carelessly not only that he was going at very fast rate of speed. Also causing us to slam on our breaks almost sliding into the back of him. Should make sure your drivers can drive safely and with with care.

Our delivery was brought by a short-tempered driver who cut me off at every half of a sentence out of my mouth on how I can get him to the closest and easiest entrance to make his delivery. He then proceeded to dump the pallet in the middle of the classroom and race himself out the door!

I have to write this review and I have to rate this as a one star because there isn't anything lower. I ordered a patio set from Home Depot on April 15th, 2022. HD's tracking info indicated that it was received by the delivery company the next day. And there it sat and sat and sat. At about 10 days I went to HD and inquired as to when I could expect delivery. My patio set couldn't be tracked. After several more days HD was informed that Day and Ross had sent it to Overland. Overland sent it to Kelowna without adequate delivery instructions so it sat there for a few days before being sent back to Calgary. Now I then went back to Kelowna and sat in another trailer and wasn't discovered until someone went looking for it and found said trailer somewhere in the yard still locked and the contents not logged in. I was then supposed to get it in a few days". No luck. I live in Vernon so my patio set has been going up and down Hwy 93 which is about 7 blocks from my house. I don't know where it is and I don't know when I'll get it. HD check and was assured I would get it either May 21 or 22. It is now May 24/2020"

Always trouble, always drama and always messed up shipments. I cringe when Overland West Freight Lines phones me and says they have one of my orders. 2 years ago they lost a $12,000 order. The driver swore he'd dropped it off. He claimed it must have been stolen. 16 months later I got a call from Hope BC, a Home Hardware store asking me if wanted my shipment, it had been delivered to them mistakenly. Overland West Freight Lines called me on Monday to ask if we would be here for a delivery. They never showed up at all. Tuesday about 3:30 a Overland West Freight Lines driver called me and was yelling me because no one was there. Overland West Freight Lines is a disaster to deal with.

I'm actually giving zero stars. Terrible communication and customer service. My God. The dispatcher never told the purchaser of freight that the equipment needed to be crated. Driver shows up and leaves. Neither the purchaser nor I received a phone call about the situation and the company had both our phone numbers. The following morning they also never bothered to call. I called them in the early morning to tell them that the oven was never picked up and they responded with well yeah it wasnt crated". The dispatcher proceeds to tell me that she told another girl to tell the purchaser. Preparation wasnt forwarded to the purchaser via e-mail or verbal. I asked her to call the purchaser and tell him that and she says "yeah when I get around to it"...insane response. This company takes your money and washes their hands of any responsibility. Piss poor customer service and communication. See other poor reviews about organization and service. Dont give them your money you'll regret it."
