We used HMS for the installation of a porch lift, stair lifts and ordering wheelchair.The staff was very accommodating and friendly - but that’s where the good review stops.We were told that a special lift could be installed in our home to make it accessible by the owner, and their contractor came back weeks later saying that was impossible - meaning our home wouldn’t be accessible for my partner’s discharge date.We ordered a wheelchair and HMS did not put the order in until almost three weeks later, as it got missed.All in all, if you want things done quickly and efficiently - without the added stress of chasing people down - pick a different vendor.

Home Medical Solutions are the people to go to for MANY of your medical needs. David, Alex,Guy, and Carl are all amazing people that bent over backward and did flips for me. A new scooter that I asked for some interesting changes that have not been done before ... they did it. including Motor Cycle Cameras installed, Whip Flag Coffee cup holder Crutch holder Cell phone holder .. and yes ... they did it all and it is Good.

My shower bench needed to be replaced and Alex, in the office, was so friendly and helpful. He arranged for delivery and assembly within a week and Jon/John (unsure of correct name spelling) came to install it and remove the old bench. He was also very friendly and helpful, but why I'm writing this review is how he went above and beyond to help me when he realized that the new bench was missing some extensions. Through some quick thinking and troubleshooting, Jon/John used some of the old parts of the old bench to attach as the missing pieces to the new bench. He even drilled larger holes in the legs so it would latch at the right height for me. It saved him having to come back another time with new parts, along with making me wait to have a proper bench. I really appreciate his efforts and the smooth overall process it took from order to installation. I highly recommend Home Medical Solutions and their entire team. Thank you for putting me at ease and giving me the best solution.Little tip: When ordering your equipment, just ask that whoever brings it checks to make sure all parts are there before delivery. It saves time and effort because it's common to have interchangeable parts used for different equipment.

I received the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a store that is supposed to service elderly individuals or people who have care needs. I phoned in for a part to my mother in law's Pride Lift Recliner as it was no longer operational and my mother in law had to now set her feet up on a kitchen chair to keep her feet elevated. She is 85 by the way. Samantha told me the part would take weeks to get there so I asked her to find out if they would ship air as this is a lift recliner and my mother in law requires it to work right away. She told me she would get back to me the next day, she didn't I had to call her. She told me again she would find out and get back to me. That was a week ago and still no call, no nothing. If I was managing this store she would be let go. Customers pay your wages, just in case you forgot.

Have worked with both Michelle Salt and David Johnson of HMS. They are both very client-centred and easy to work with. This company is a leader in Calgary when it comes to mobility aids and home modifications. It has a universal design department and many different assistive devices to support someone with disabilities. Highly recommend!

UPDATE: January 31, 2023I have been recently experiencing major issues with a proch lift I received as my first purchase from Home Medical Solutions, and they have worked with the manufacturer, and myself and talen my various observations and information and worked diligently to resolve the issue. The staff at Home Medical Solutions has gone above and beyond any other business to reaolve this issue while continuing to supply many other supplies that I have needed as thinga have changed. I can't say enough good things, and only the words Thank you from my heart

We had reached out to Home Medical Solutions to get a couple of questions answered. We were lucky enough to get in touch with Tyler, who not only answered all our questions but made some suggestions we hadn't thought of. We went to the shop the next day and met with him, he helped us pick out quite a number of items that would help make my fathers life much easier and safer. Tyler was knowledgeable, friendly and wanted to make sure we got everything we needed. He even managed to to send an installer out that afternoon, which was amazing. That leads me to our installer, Cort. He was great, he was very friendly, took the time to answer all our questions, he made sure we were happy with everything he installed, and he was incredibly polite.Not only would I use Home Medical Solutions again, I strongly recommend them.

Home Medical did all the renovations on our bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible. Walk-in shower, lower counters, wide door, tiles etc. We could not be happier! Professional, courteous workers, excellent work. I would highly recommend them for anything you need!

Vendor came to do an assessment of handrail modification post my injury. She provided email presentations of possibilities and their approximate cost on the same day and within the week a carpenter came and did an excellent modification which gives me more confidence in ambulating the stairs wit crutches.On July 6, 2021 Vendor came and made an adjustment of the original installation for me at no charge! I appreciated this great work and follow through!
