First Choice Haircutters

I had a fantastic experience here! I unfortunately didn't get my stylist's name, but he was absolutely amazing and so professional and friendly. I'm a woman who went from waist-length hair to a complete buzz cut, and I was nervous about what kind of reaction a salon would have to that, but everyone here was very respectful, supportive, and complimentary. The cut was done so well, and I love the shaved head look! I'll definitely be coming back here.

It sounds like I had the same woman a lot of people here have complained about. Im growing out a pixie cut and I went in just to get the back trimmed. Once she did that I said it was good and went to get up, but she started grabbing other parts of my hair looking like she was going to cut it so I said “oh wait no sorry Im actually growing it out please just trim the back” and she said “nono it’ll look better if I trim all over”. I literally kept saying no I dont want a full trim and she just started doing it. She also gave me a bunch of advice I didn’t ask for about how I must be staying up too late and sleeping in too much because Im young and have more grey hairs than is normal. Def not going back here.

Samy cut my hair today. This is the result. For a wet cut, (no shampooing) and blow-dry it was $73 plus tip. It's close enough to what I was looking for. The colour job is my own from home. It was a pleasant enough visit.

I have been coming here for a few years for my haircuts. I always have a good experience. The staff is friendly and the manager always has an interesting hairstyle. I usually see Darlene and she often gives me great advice on keeping my hair healthy. I've never had any complaints on my haircuts or colour.I would recommend this salon to anybody who needs anything done.

Great experience today with Loan. Just dropped in to see if they could clean up and trim my granddaughter’s hair. She hasn’t had a cut since pandemic started so it was straggly. I had hardly any wait. Clean shop, polite employees, good price too.

Darlene is the manager of this location. She is always making sure. That all clients are well taken care of. I had a hair disaster. Where I went to do highlights. That turned out yellow. Darlene was very busy. But took time out to fix my goof up. I was embarrassed. She made me feel comfortable. Saying that it would be ok.

It’s always a joy to get my haircut by Mona, she is friendly and talented. Despite having moved, I always make a point of coming back :) treat yourself and book an appointment with her!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this first choice salon!! Let's just say I went in there with my Covid hair. I'm talking hair that was now down to my butt and the worst roots ever and I had no idea what I was looking for in regards to style or color. I left that up to my stylist Darlene. She picked the most flattering cut and color for my hair, I don't think I've ever looked better!! Not only was that part of the service fantastic but she kept up great conversation with me as well which is something I love when I go to a salon. If you are in the area you should definitely see Darlene, you won't be disappointed!!
