We have been a customer for years and recently their service has really dropped below acceptable levels. They have simply stopped emptying our shred-it box without notice. Since April (it's been 5 months now) we have been trying to call and email them. Not only does it take forever to have someone answer our call (it takes weeks to get an answer back by email) but they also don't even provide solutions. We finally had a service that was schedule for Sept. 9 and no one showed up. Terrible Service.

The employee who came to collect our paper only collected about half of what was needed to be taken. He cleared out about one bag of paper, left to put it away, told us he was coming back but never did. Like dude why?

I have been trying for two days to make a phone connection with Shred-it/Stericycle without any success. I've requested their Next in Line call service only to be connected to someone in India that then put me back into an endless cue to reach their service centre. I'm trying to pay an outstanding invoice that I never received a copy of. HELLO I'm trying to pay you. I've requested back invoices for delivery by email and I've received nothing. If you don't answer your phone then you aren't getting paid. Novel concept. Ever since the company was bought out by Stericycle, it's been painful. I'm working through COVID and managing to answer and return calls, what's your excuse?On the other hand, your guys/gals out in the field doing the pick-ups have been great. Need to improve your customer service in house.Oh and don't respond with please call us at Shredit by phone. NO ONE ANSWERS

Worst company to deal with!!! After 6 times in 10 months, they made wrong communication for billing and record keeping. No one new from the right arm to the left what they did. They didn't believe me at first but after I had to produce the evidence, they realized it! Real Mess! I had to change company! And beware of extra charge !

Bad customer service, the rep didn't even know how to provide a ball park estimate for hard drive destruction, just repeated basic information such as address and what was on the website. I asked him to get his manager to provide him some basic training and information for customers, to you know help them.Great sales rep on the phone, however he quoted me 20 bucks PER hard drive, to shred. And mentioned that they don't normally do drop off service, which is clearly advertised and demonstrated on on their website. Stay far, far away from this company. You are way better off looking online for tips on the best way to take it apart and destroying it yourself.

Tried to make a connection to get a quote. Got an email from Simon Williams about connecting to get a quote, replied to their email and then again a month later and still no response.Seems like this is a problem a lot of people have with this company along with their copy and paste responses to these questions to reach out to them again.In Short, don't bother using them, they're not worth the effort that The Customer has to put in to chase them down and get a response.

We used Shred-it for more than 10 years. In the past few years customer service has completely dropped. Non-responsive, dismissive, inconsistent information and rude. (referring to Phone/Email Representatives - those who pick up shredding were always wonderful).I cancelled our service 4 months ago. Even though three different representatives in Shred-it stated that pick up for empty consoles were at no cost. They are now trying to bill me for a full pick up & recycling that never took place by them. It appears to be an error in the system and instead of fixing it - it's taken me over a month to continually follow up and get the matter settled. More rude representatives and finally they have put a credit to clear my account that may not be 'visible' for the next 3 months! February to September (maybe longer) to simply cancel a service in accordance with their guidance.I would not recommend due to lack of customer service and not responsive.
