Waterdown Montessori School

Words cannot explain how amazing this school is! This was my first experience with childcare services and the staff made the transition so comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to leave due to moving and the new Montessori school does not compare. This school was run so efficiently. My daughter who was enrolled at the young age of 19 months, yet she made amazing connections with the students and staff. We were actually emotional when leaving. I wish she could've stayed here as long as possible. Highly highly recommend Waterdown Montessori!!!

My personal experience was very disappointing. My son was expelled at 18 months of age because he didn’t sit nicely and behave to the standard of Waterdown Montessori. In my opinion, there’s a gross lack of skill on the part of the educator involved as well as the director, Mary, in appropriately engaging my son and dealing with expected toddler behaviour. He was developmentally appropriate and is now thriving.I wonder how many other toddler boys have had the same experience at Waterdown Montessori. He is now thankfully excelling at a competing facility.Consider your options if you’re going to pay this centre to look out for the best interest of your child.

We wanted to share our gratitude to the whole Waterdown Montessori Team. The transition back to school has been a major success and it was due to the hard work and planning of the entire team. From top down you can tell that every staff member cares about each and every child. Waterdown Montessori School is truly a special place for children to grow and develop. The teachers and staff are extremely compassionate and caring. The communication between the school and parents is excellent, and the individualized, progress report written by the teachers at the end of the school year is just one example of their unwavering commitment. We are very grateful to have chosen WMS for our sons to learn and develop. As a parent, there is no better feeling then knowing your child is safe, happy and thriving.

Waterdown Montessori provides authentic Montessori in a warm, loving and clean environment. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to have found this school for our son. In just two years, he has blossomed into an independent, free thinking and compassionate child. WMS is situated on a beautiful property offering lots of opportunity for outdoor exploration true to Montessori’s philosophy. We look very forward to continuing our son’s Casa and elementary education with WMS.

Waterdown Montessori is a fabulous place for children to excel and learn. It is an extremely caring environment. The teachers and support staff go above and beyond to support individual learning and behaviour needs. I have had wonderful experiences working with the staff on various challenges with my son and we look forward to having our two daughters join the school. The toddler program has been an A+ experience! At first I was hesitant to send my little one to school at such a young age, but all of my fears disappeared when I witnessed how caring, kind, fun and professional the staff are with the children. My child has learned so many new skills from toilet training, improvement in her speech and language, practical skills such as getting dressed, tidying up, and also being able to explore her own interests at her own pace. I have seen her growth and development excel in so many ways, thanks to the dedicated WMS team. Highly recommended!

We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community. The staff are professional and demonstrate that they truly care about the children. When we started at the school, we were drawn to the location (which you cannot beat) and the Montessori practices. Since then we have realized it is even more than that. This is a community, where the staff know all of the children, not just the children in their classroom, the families get to know each other, and are encouraged to get to know each other through school events. It is a warm and inviting environment, where everyone can grow together. My two children are very different, and I have been able to see how the teachers adapt and cater to the unique needs of each child, to help them be the best versions of themselves. I am extremely glad that our child has had the chance to attend this school for three years. His experience at the school has allowed him to gain a solid foundation in his academic skills, as well as a very strong love of and confidence in learning. I chose Waterdown Montessori School after looking at many other places in Waterdown and Burlington, for many reasons; with one being that I loved the beautiful & quite natural setting. The school also gave me the feeling that he was there to learn versus being in a daycare. It also has a great community feel too among the families and the staff. The program is 100% worth it.

My son has been attending the casa program since september and words cannot describe how grateful we are to have the opportunity to be a part of the WMS family. Everyone is wonderful and truly care about the well being and happiness of all children. Teachers go above and beyond and are passionate about what they do. The level of care and patience they have with the little ones is remarquable and they are always happy to provide guidance and advice if needed. My son has made so much progress within the last few months and we cannot wait for our daughter to join the WMS family.
