Arrived on Feb 28 2023 at 8:40am to get an adult passport renewal. It was 1:30pm by the time I left. 5 hour wait. The worst part is that when you are in the final waiting area in the main building, the ticket you receive isn’t indicative of any obvious order. Therefore, you have basically no idea when you will be called up next. There were not many areas to sit. I could have done so much in the time that I had to wait in the main area had I just known what order I was in and what MY wait time would be to see the specific desk I needed to see for passport renewal. I wish there was some sort of app they would provide that would alert your phone when you have, let’s say, 15 mins approx. wait time left. Super inefficient the way it currently is! Tip: Bring snacks and a drink. And a phone charger.

Alejandro was amazing - very friendly and talkative. Made it less stressful. Alejandro had an amazing personality & helped me out OUT A LOT - got there at 9:30 left at 10:30 ( took longer as I had to wait again ( my fault )

Hey yeah the walk in appointment system was weird but once I got in it was a seamless experience. Everyone was nice and I should have my whole family’s passports in a week.Point of advice, the world is a little different now and things aren’t like they were. If you think you’re gonna walk into any high demand service and get immediate help you might have to re-evaluate your expectations of the world around you.Thanks for the help today!

If there is less than one star, I go for it. Had a worst experience went in yesterday March 14,2023. The place was packed. Unprofessional greetings at the door. I felt I was in third world country The quality and professionalism was out of the doors. Inside was packed with people. Figured out only 2 staff said to be working and 3 called in sick. After about 1 hour sitting, not a single person was served. The 2 staff behind the desk were doing nothing but one staring at his computer screen in front of him, while the second one was sitting still like a dummy looking at people through that window shield just like you look at animals at the zoo. A few people got up & left and I did too.People save your time and energy and avoid upper James location it’s a mess and corrupt. These people need to be replaced so service Canada regain its reputation.

I was apprehensive of going here after reading all of the poor reviews. I needed a passport within a month and considering the longer passport wait times, I attempted to get an express passport so I had a better chance of receiving it in time. I was told that because my date of travel wasnt within 9 days, I would have to go with the standard processing time rather than express. I was nervous, however, the lady who collected all of my documents assured me that I would receive it within 10 days. I received it within a week, woohoo! I went at 10am on a Friday and spent 4 hours in the office. Although it was a long day, it was very well organized. People complaining about having to wait in multiple lines must not realize that this is what keeps things running so smoothly. If you’re prepared to wait a bit (which is just part of the process) and have all of your documents organized, things should go well for you at this location.

Pretty good experience. I was there yesterday for three adult passports. Wait time is a bit long and hopefully they are working on that. Walked in at 8:40am and left at 12:30pm. We were told our passports would be mailed on April 3rd. Staff were pleasant but the security guards, that guide people on where to go, were grumpy and impatient.

Here I am came in at 8.30 and it is now 10.30 . They were kind enough to have a holding pen so didn’t have to wait outside. My issue is with the counter s we’re they actually intake. At 10.00 the total number of active counters went down to 2 out of 15. Having seen govt office working patterns . this is their Tim’s run time. Seriously you have 100 people on que , can we at least rotate ? No one turns back up for 45 mins .. if I do this in private sector I would be shown the door so quickly.

Everyone was so friendly, and Will absolutely went out of his way to make sure I had my urgent passport before I left the country. The staff completely diffused what was a very stressful passport situation (and it is so appreciated!) so a run of the mill visit should be a dream. Facilities are clean and there are lots of seats should you want to maintain social distancing. So much better than the old location!

I visited this particular Service Canada branch today to apply for six passports. The check-in process was met with exceptional service from a wonderful staff member. Eventually, we had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Bert, who meticulously reviewed all the necessary paperwork for all my family members and displayed kindness, courtesy, and a keen understanding of my urgency to travel soon. Mr. Bert made every effort to ensure my passports were ready within a reasonable timeframe before my departure. Throughout the entire process, we had genuine conversations, shared a few laughs, and overall, it was an incredible working experience receiving service from Mr. Bert. I commend him on a job well done and encourage him to continue delivering excellent service. I sincerely hope to cross paths with him again in the future. I would also like to express my gratitude to Service Canada for their hard work. May God bless you, the organization, and Canada as a whole.

Customer service was incredible! Everyone was very informative and kind. Though the wait was pretty long, they were completely transparent about the time it would take and offered solutions for those that didn’t want to wait. Great experience :)
