Fantastic little German bakery - I just wish they had more sweet baked goods! It's always so frustrating finding empty shelves and having to ask if that's the only sweet items left (and yes, that's it). The star of the show, however, are the bobbes. So delicious!- Mimi's Cake Tour

As an Austrian I grew up surrounded by excellence in baking, nowadays rarely do I ever encounter true Germanic baking of this type of quality, that is until I found this incredible place. From the first bite my tastebuds were propelled back in time to my childhood, the taste, the texture everything was perfect, it was incredible and I need to sit down before I fell down as I was completely overwhelmed by the true European flavour and quality of their baking!Try the Weekend Kuchen (Weekend Cake) the Hazelnut, cinnamon or raisin flavour they’re incredible, without being too sweet it was perfectly balanced! Wow I’m completely blown away... if you are in Salmon Arm stop by here and try anything, everything is phenomenal, try the Bavarian Meatloaf in a sandwich made with fresh baked German rye bread OMG!!!Everything here is great!!! Get here early though, everything is so good that it sells out quickly, don’t be disappointed or miss out!

Excellent European-style baked goods and reasonable prices considering it is all hand-made and fresh daily. The ‘Berliner’ are for limited times which is a shame but as authentic as they come. The rye breads are just like we Austrians like them and the poppy seed buns and salt sticks are almost as good as one finds in a Viennese bakery. A true find and local family business worth supporting.

Amazing bakery! The owners, Barbara & Manfred, have become such lovely people to see and get to know since moving to Salmon Arm late last summer. Their sandwiches remind me of the simple yet so tasty sandwiches you get in Europe, & their baked goods make your mouth drool. The entire mall smells like their breads and treats, it's to die for! Recently made a trip to the Yukon and they insisted on making a batch of half baked breads to bring to my German family in the Yukon. You will not be disappointed!

Jawohl!! Hartmann's is as authentic as it gets without flying over to Germany... from their Bretzel to the Brötchen to their Bauernbrot and all the lovely German pastries, this is it! Glad you're in Salmon Arm!

Tasty baked goods here! A wonderful discovery along my route today. You can find this bakery with freshly baked warm savory and sweet snacks inside a public market along with a meat shop and a few other stores. I tried the cheese pretzel and picked up a pretzel croissant for later.

I was very suprised to see this in salmon arm, especially the pasteries and authentic bread. My family has not been to germany to visit family for a while now and we missed the pasteries/bread/food. I was going to the bathroom during our regular visit to windmill meats and out of the corner of my eye i saw quark danish, hanuta, and erdnuss flips etc (Quark is very rare to find, only found it at the cheese farm a little out of town). I went immediately and dragged my family and friends over to order some pasteries. Well, I can tell you that they are authentic, and its bad because you can eat so many pasteries without feeling full or so sugar overloaded like when eating tim-bits from timmies. There was also a pastery that had a similar almond topping to my favourite dessert butterkuchen. We are planning on coming regularly to order more bread and pasteries!

I grew up in Germany and was thrilled to find a REAL German bakery. The Hartmanns are wonderful and their products are amazing. The buns, breads and sweet bakery goods....love them all! .
