Went to lar's bbq on a Tuesday and servers were nice and we ordered using their app. Skewers came first and our main came after. Portions were a little small for the skewers but main was decent size. Flavours are bold: salty and spicy but that was expected! We do not go to Chinese skewers places often so this was a pleasant experience! Not sure if we would go back again though, regular spice level was a bit much for us.

I never knew there was a great bbq spot that’s close to me! If you’re in Newmarket or uptown, this is the spot to visit if you want delicious skewers and food (similar to Chat Bar). The interior is spacious, so there’s lots of room to sit. Everything is done online so you would have to scan the QR code to order.The food comes fairly quickly after submitting your order, and I appreciate that the hot stove to keep the skewers warm actually does it’s job. At Chat Bar, my skewers are still cool even when it’s on the mini stove. Everything tasted fantastic overall, but my complaint would be that I wish the skewers had alittle more spices (for more flavour). A must try is the salted egg yolk corn - a combination of sweetness (from the corn) with the salted egg yolk! I would definitely recommend visiting this spot if you’re looking for delicious skewers and a place to chat without having to go all the way to Markham!IG: Ayenomz

Awesome food. Love trying a bunch of their BBQ items.Garlic broccolli is to DIE for. Sweet and sour pork as well.Staff is awesome. Remember you. Feels like friends.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere with a simple but nice decoration. The space is good for big groups. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They also have a good variety on liquors.The food is excellent, with great flavors and portions. They have a good variety on the menu, thought for different palates. My big favorite was the spicy cooked fish, the fish was very tender and smooth, deliciously spicy at the right spot. Definitely a place to go again and again. The prices are definitely reasonable.Parking and wheelchair accessibility is not an issue.

Nice decor & vibes. Spacious & clean. Good customer service. The young male server was friendly & polite. Food served hot and fast. Delicious lamb, beef and pork belly skewers. Tried their seafood shrimp & clam tray and it tasted good but quite oily. The bbq rice cake skewers were quite tasty with sugar coated. They tasted sweet and chewy. The house Lar’s fried rice tasted pretty good but barely found any scallops in it. Will come back to try other items on menu.

Friendly staff and cozy comfy decor. Food came pretty fast and portions were great. Some of the screws came a bit salty, but waiter reacted very quickly for our next orders to have less salt.

I wish I had found this place sooner!! The service was incredible and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and so full of flavor, especially if you like spicy food (you can opt out for non spicy too!)I will definitely be coming back in the near future and I highly recommend this restaurantService 5/5Food 5/5Price range $-$$

Quiet atmosphere, was not too busy when I went this time, but had been busier in the past. Good quality and variety is fantastic with lots of intense flavour. Service is fast and very good. Highly recommended!

One of the best tasting BBQ places in the GTA. Reasonable price, clean environment and extremely friendly staff. Did not ask for extra tips when picking up and servers were still nice to us after we decided to sit at the patio because there was very few people there.All the meat skewers had good portion, super tender. Eggplant has a good garlic taste, the skin was soft and crispy.Will definitely visit again.

Like their sweet and sour pork, very traditional one and staffs are friendly. The reasons I give 3 stars are 1. there are no traditional plate, bowl or even glass cup when you dine in. All is paper or plastic makes all dishes ready to go. The soup is extremely hot, used plastic bowl with a plastic spoon is not a decent restaurant experience 2. The soup is tasty but very salty. My friend and I have to drink lots of water after going home.
