Janine Gerrits Makeup

Janine recently did my makeup for my 30th birthday. I gave her free rein to do whatever she wanted. My only requirement was to make me GLAM and Janine did NOT disappoint. She exceeded my expectations and it was hands down one of my favourite makeup applications. I received SO many compliments, but most importantly I felt beautiful! Not only is Janine talented, but she is kind and funny, too! 10/10 - highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of having Janine do my make up for my engagement photo’s, as well as for my wedding. She also did my bridal party and mother/mother in law.I got married the day after hurricane Fiona and Janine showed up on time and instantly put us all at ease during a time when there were still so many unknown’s. I’m happy to say our wedding went ahead, and everyone absolutely loved they way they looked.I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about Janine. She is kind, professional, knowledgeable, extremely talented and overall, just a really wonderful person. She made me look like myself, just the best possible version! I truly felt beautiful on my wedding day.I cannot recommend Janine enough and would absolutely have her do my make up again.

Janine is an absolutely fantastic makeup artist and was so easy to work with leading up to and during my wedding day makeup appointment. We scheduled a trial before the actual wedding date which is such a great idea. She asked very thoughtful questions to understand exactly how I wanted to look on my big day and she used her expertise to bring my vision to life!She was on-site to help my mother, 5 bridesmaids and myself get ready and talk about efficiency! I gave her a timeline for the morning and she had all of us looking fabulous with more than enough time to spare.Her pricing is more than fair and her talent really showed through on all of us! Highly, highly recommend Janine!

Not only was my make up flawless, but Janine was bubbly, professional and efficient on my wedding day! She had the task of make up application for 6 women plus the bride beginning at 7am. She got through us all with time to spare and everyone adored their looks! It was obvious Janine was very experienced and we all felt extremely confident in her hands. She went the extra mile and gave each of us a mini version of our lipstick colors for re-application throughout the day. I had multiple guests at my wedding ask who did my make up AND it stayed on from 11am through to 2am. I highly recommend Janine!

I was one of Janine’s brides and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Janine handled 8 faces of makeup for my wedding, including 2 mothers and she efficiently had us all ready with so much time to spare. The compliments we received all day were so genuine and every single lady felt as beautiful as possible! She was lovely, personable and took time to make us all feel beautiful and welcome. Janine did my makeup recently for my wedding, along with my maid of honour and mother. I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup so I wanted something pretty neutral. Janine was absolutely wonderful. She listed to what we wanted and I was so thrilled with the end results. She was professional, courteous and I would highly recommend booking her. There’s a reason she’s booked out so far in advance and is one of the best makeup artists in Halifax!

Janine did mine & my bridal parties makeup for my wedding in 2018 & we were instantly obsessed! She was able to achieve everyone’s desired looks & felt like part of the group! I recommend her every chance I get, would definitely use her again in the future!

Janine did our bridal party makeup for my best friend's wedding. She was AMAZING. Sweet, kind, funny, super professional, listened to what we wanted, and our makeup application was flawless. I've even asked her for tips since, and she is always super generous with her time and info! Would highly recommend for all future events, including weddings, photography, and even self-care/girls nights out! (If she does that ;) ). I hope I get to work with her again!

Janine recently did my make-up for a friend’s wedding I was attending this past summer. She is the most down to earth, talented and reliable make-up artist!
