Canadian Freightways

I have no idea why this company exists? For real, I'm honestly stumped. A vendor at work asked to ship a parcel back to them collect through Canadian Freightways. I created 3 pick up requests and every time no one came. Finally 2 weeks later one employee at CF confirmed this shipment was subcontracted to another shipping company and they needed to pick it up. I contacted the subcontractor who confirmed they had no request from CF to pickup. I just remade the pick up request again with the subcontractor who picked it up the next day. Like honest to god, why does CF exist? I could have just saved myself 2 weeks of hassle by contacting the other shipping company the first time?

If you don’t have a fork lift to unload your delivery out of the truck they will take your delivery back to their warehouse. Make sure you have something to move your delivery out of the truck. Customer service said the driver is not responsible moving the delivery out of the truck. I m not sure how they ve been delivering heavy stuff. But price is reasonable. Maybe that’s why. unload urself service!!!

Have to say, They are the worst shipper around, If you can see from the pictures, they can't even drive there trucks, Took me months to get them to replace my lawn they drove over! Shows they have skilled drivers. Also can't get the freight out that is promised, Its like like pulling teeth. They are not welcome on my dock!

if you are going to pick something up, do not go to the main building.go through the truck gate to the east and then its like door 21 or something. go in the door and theres a very friendly guy there named Wayne!

If I could give -4 stars I would.They are always late, if they even show up at all. When you book through their website it gives you a confirmation that your scheduled pick up has been sent to their booking department and then POOF!!! It disappears. The staff are not knowledgeable at all with their own bill of lading. They ask for information that is not even on it. This is not a one timer either, 3 out of 5 shipments are not picked up and sometimes I have to call in 3 times.Do not waste your time with this company because they will waste yours.

This company should look at their employee base more thoroughly.Their employee Javier Bejarano is not a good example to working at a well known company like this.Hope their other employees are better

As a truck driver from southern Ontario with a regular drop here I can honestly say that the receiving crew on nights are a pleasant and helpful bunch. Although they are always busy (a good sign) they still have reasonable wait times and don't play favorites with drivers.

Best freight company period. We send out odd sized, ugly long product, damages are inevitable. CF provides us with the least amount of damage we have ever dealt with in my 9 years with my company. I was in oil and gas for 6 years prior to this, and CF was still the best freight company. They bend over backwards to get my freight to odd locations. I wouldn't trade them for anyone.

Excellent rates, always on time. Been using this courier for past year and a half and have always had my pickups on time. Never had any damaged goods and i use this courier to ship Engines/Transmission, other auto parts across Canada often.Keep up the great freight, Thanks CF.
