Some recess supervisors think their coffee is more important than the chaos that's happening on the field. Teachers are good and bad, principal is outdated and barely knows what a computer is(which is why all the tech we have is trash in hardware and software), broken glass is sometimes left on the blacktop, school can barely afford supplies for their students. Only good parts are the nicer students, great library and more welcoming environment, other than that just go public

yard duty is mean as heck. the vice and school principal are super nice. you cant even go on a small mountain when its winter. Ms.sneer makes her own rules (Dumby) but if you go to this school? regret it.

Idk, there is a gender equality issue but overall the teachers prepare us well for high school. At recess still there is a lot of swearing on the school yard, as well as bullying but the teachers don't care. :( I would recommend going to this school but still remind everyone to be mindful of their actions. every day. There are also a lot of boys who are disrupting class and still the teachers act like- Recess is so long I feel like and we're not allowed to stay in or anything, which makes sense because we have to stay outside for under 20 degree weather.

All teachers care about is coffee, rather then keeping an eye on students during break times. Teachers are nice but lack patience and passion for there work. Lots of graffiti and broken class in the summer. Teachers don’t prepare students for high school and dismiss problems that are brought to their attention (bullying - verbally and physically- ,at home problems ect).No support for students struggling at home/school and minimal support for non English speaking students that I’ve witnessed attend St. Nickolas. Some teachers are great such as Miss. Mendel, miss. Sholts, miss. Munro, miss coffee, the French teachers, and jack the crossing guard. The assembly’s where guest speakers would come in or interactive assembly’s where great. As well the year end bbq. Bathrooms where always well kept. I wish kids in the younger grades where allowed to use the second bathroom as there’s only three stalls in the gr 1-5 bathrooms and seven or eight in the 5-8 bathroom. Most teachers where bearable and relatively nice however the school could improve on preparing students for high school, and supporting students with mental health, as well being more inclusive. There is also a safety problem with the open forest that backs onto the school as wild animals have been seen wondering the front of the forest. The amount of times kids wondered in there and didn’t get caught is ridiculous. Boys are strongly more well liked than girls. There is a massive gender equality problem. Boys are asked to do special tasks by pretty much all teachers and makes girls feel like they are incapable of doing certain things. As well in my eyes failing students who don’t learn as quickly as others and just pushed them along rather than helping with the first sign of struggle. The end of the day pick up is another crazy unorganized problem. I went here from kindergarten to grade 7 and part of 8. Enjoyed my time there over all. every school has there faults but I would not recommend as a first choice.I was only able too have an experience with the two male principals and all I have to say to the new female principal is that you should take the opinions of students and past students to make St. Nickolas a more welcoming, and inclusive place for all.

some of the staff are really nice and the lunch time supervisors are really really really mean and make up their own roles just for boys and never for girls. ms. videoeo and ms sneer make up there own rules for boys and not for girls. All the teacher's care about is coffe and resoect for girls and not even a bit for boys.
