Although it is a small store, I really enjoyed using their grooming service a couple times when I lived in the neighborhood. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and I found their pricing to be reasonable. My dog was always happy to come in for a treat or two when we walked by. A great storefront for Mont-Royal Ave!

We have a dog since 5 months ago and this place has been essential for everything our dog needed. Most of his stuff come from this shop. The only thing that we could not find was a good winter coat. I believe they can improve this section.If you are not good cutting the nails of your pet, their free pedicure is basically perfect!

Lovely, helpful staff. I got some calming pheromone spray and a carrier bag for my cat, it worked. She's in Toronto now and calm. Thank you Mondou.

It blows my mind, the extent of luxury and cost we afford our pets. When I think of the complex array of inequalities, I am baffled. This store is well laid out, quite small quite convenient. Products for animals range from house-brand to the still contentious raw food brands. Having a pet is a wonky luxury, this is a store for that. It is not cheap. Street parking is surprisingly good, given its location on one of the plateaux main arteries, on Mount Royal Ave.

Lots of brand you can choose and great service,stuff will give the dog treats every time I went, so friendly and kind! Also their membership card , each time you purchased will earn the points and next time you go you can use the points and save money.

I don't know what happened, but the stores selection has become not only sparse but higher prices than I remember for standard products. For example, you can buy filters for fountains here but they're very rarely in stock at the two Mondou's I go to and are $6.99 - something that's $4.99 at Global Pets! The last two times I visited, they were also out of slow-feed bowls and catnip toys. The one benefit I've had with them is getting to use their quick-service name collar machine and an inventory sale they had during the summer where I got a collar for $2 (normally $9.99). Otherwise, the products are much higher than the competitors and don't have too much selection.

Okay, we all know Mondou is a chain, but not all Mondous are the same. The one on East Sherbrooke was like shopping at Walmart-staff couldn't care less. But this Mondou is very different. The staff are consistently pleasant and tell you when supplies will be in. If you select ship-to-store, they double check the order when you pick it up-literally they open the box and cross check the invoice to the contents. They even ask if you want the box or not. Very well run store.

This could be a 3 or 4 at best but an off-shift employee decided to make a big fuss about masks to me a little while ago so not only do they support ineffective and illogical measures and segregation but the staff also has the audacity to cause a scene even when they're not working. Outside of that I've also purchased food for my pets that was opened then put back in but improperly and had the wrong food that wasn't meant for a cat. I'm glad I realized it once I was home and feeding them, but the lack of professionalism to throw together a random box of frozen raw food is appalling.
