Almost Home
This is an amazing place for famillies with sick children, my daughter was born 1 month premature and i live over an hour from the hospital so having a place like this was a huge help, they are incredibly helpful in every way and do an amazing job making you feel comfortable and and welcome! I dont know what i would have done without them and i wont forget what they did for us.

Amazing place for those in need of a place to stay while they have a child at KGH. Staff and fellow occupants are so understanding.

Almost Home
We had to find a place to stay while our daughter was in the hospital at KGH with appendicitis. The Almost Home house is filled with loving careing helpfull staff, the rooms are clean and the whole house is quiet. A great place to rest and be while your young one is in the hospital, with all the stress of any situation like that, it is so very much appreciated.Thank you to all involved

Almost Home
Years ago my little brother was in a serious car accident and had to be flown to Kingston hospital. All I did was drive hours to get to him when I heard. But it was the hospital that told my husband and i about this lovely place to stay. They helped us more than they know.

Almost Home is truly a home away from home and I don't know what I would have done without it. My daughter was born premature and I spent 3 and a half months at Almost Home, their support will never be forgotten.

Almost Home
“Warm” and “caring” are words that Almost Home uses to describe their services, but I can’t agree. After giving birth to a premature baby who was transferred hours away from home to the Kingston General Hospital, we were denied to stay at Almost Home unless we could “find somewhere else” for our disabled toddler to stay while our preemie was in the hospital. The reason we were given was limiting Covid-19 exposure, but I know for a fact that another family had the parents taking turns staying at Almost Home while the other cared for their children at home, which means that it was the same exposure as if they allowed siblings to stay there. It was a devastating blow to our already stressful, unexpected experience to learn that Almost Home would refuse our disabled daughter. If they are aiming to keep families together, they are certainly missing the mark. I wish RMH was open in Kingston instead.

Stayed here with my spouse and 2 small children when one of our children was hospitalized suddenly. As folks not from Kingston suffering a family emergency this place gave us some sort of stability in a trying time. Affordable facility with all the amenities one would need. While this there is a lot of common and shared spaces (kitchen, bathrooms) the sleeping quarters were large enough and private. So very greatfull for this resource.
