What a great store we have in our neighborhood. They have a huge collection of motorcycle gears and parts. Aaron was very helpful and friendly to find what you need. He is very knowledgeable and understanding, no matter how much is your purchase. From helmets to jackets and motorcycle parts.Store is a bit old-style but, hey, you're not gonna buy the store, you need your gear. They have lots of options better than any place I've seen in lower mainland, pricewise and collection wise.Prices are great and you can try on and get your fit, instead of buying online and return. Many free parking around the allies and on streets, hard to find free parking on commercial drive.Definitely recommended as a local guide and customer.

Bought a set of HyperPro shock/springs. Zack went the extra mile on fine tunning. Huge improvement on rideabilty and handling. Aaron and the front staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great deals on riding gear packages.

Wow. Service, experience, great prices and products! This place makes everyone feel like a local even tho we came all the way from Squamish. They price matched the cost I wanted. It's been perfect for fall riding. We had such a great chat with the sales guy about life and gear. We were well cared for. Such a qualified team. I love my coat and new knee pads.

Remarkable experience from a smaller shop with long term track record (and interesting pictures/trophies to prove it)!Erin's tire recommendation was spot on the money.Zack installed upgrade front springs from Hyperpro into the factory shocks, and the new gear ratios are working great.. The handling improvements are beyond words. It was reassuring to be able to see the back of the shop and talking to the technician that actually works on the bike. They really know what they are talking about and really listen to what you are looking for. They turned my little grocery shopping bike into an awesome dual purpose adventure machine. I can still scrape footpegs around corners, but now also found myself on gravel roads, logging spurs and mild ATV trails. There's also a huge selection of riding gear and parts/accessories available in the store. Will definitely be coming back for more!Thank you guys!Steve

Was highly recommended by a friend and they lived up to that recommendation hands down. Karl was very knowledgeable about all that my recently purchased 2006 GX’r would need, immediately and in the future. I’ve definitely found the shop for all future maintenance and riding gear. Thanks guys

1978 Suzuki GS750I've had my vintage bike serviced at Modern Motorcycling for about 6 years now. Aaron and his team absolutely know their stuff. As with all shops dealing with seasonal workload my experiences with them have varied, most due exactly to that fact and sheer demand, but quality and price-wise both have remained respectably great. When I say 'varied' I don't mean good or bad, per se. I've had many great experiences with them, and I've had a few experiences that could have been easier but got there in the end and were overall good. I give these guys 5-stars overall. Now the details:Service-wise they have always, always done a great job for me. Zack really loves bikes (especially of the Suzuki flavour) and really does a fantastic job with everything from overall safety/full inspection, to annual maintenance/checks right through to suggestions on upgrades and betterment. All of which I've engaged him with and have never been happier. He even suggested and provided a new master brake cylinder and lever, all of which he installed in time, super professionally, and to quote. Whenever I've had something that doesn't seem quite right, he bends over backwards to make it right, even if I may be overthinking things or it's an obvious or simple fix right through to something that can be dialled in better after a few km's. Take your bike to MM and be happy when Zack is working on it. Keep on doing what you're doing Zack, legend my dude.Yes the team are some characters (I personally appreciate that - some my not). People here have complained about some of them, but I feel most of those complaints aren't really accurate or warranted overall. Building rapport with your mechanic is part of the process IMHO, and pondering on just how many issues and problems they are faced with from paying customers on a daily basis (purely mechanical issues), I can see how that could filter through to the uninitiated through initial conversations or service engagement. Both Aaron and his old man upstairs always sort me out with what I need, provide amazing recommendations, options, suggestions at great prices and I always have a laugh and hear a story through the process. Furthermore, they do bend over backwards to help you when you need it. I was caught out of the area with a broken accelerator cable at close to 6pm on a Saturday, and after calling Aaron who was just closing up the shop he offered to come and pick my bike up that night, taking it back to the shop and they had it up and running by the next business day. Yes I paid for the tow. Yes I was happy to... to get my bike off the street and into the hands of their team who I trust. On the flip-side, yes I have had a couple of things happen - but when they do, they are sorted out 100% and in general I'm made to feel well looked after and confident in the results.Great work Aaron and the entire team! Zack you da man, absolutely amazing 5-start work all around. Spiro you do killer amazing work, my old pitted forks are practically brand new due to your artisan workmanship. I've always left Modern Motorcycling with a road-safe, well-looked after bike, all with a smile on my face and confidence in my ride. Thank you, guys.

Prices are often better on certain things if you buy a bunch of stuff together (they like to “bundle it”). When they have to order something in, from my experience, the estimated time they tell you is off by anywhere from a few days to a almost month. Even if they assure you it’ll be there by a certain day, it generally won’t.Aaron is pretty helpful in most aspects but often is not up to date about safety certification of gear they sell. Make sure to cross check stuff on your own.Customer service is pretty off. Waiting in line often seems like not the way as a lot of people are just cutting in front of you to ask something.Hours are weird. Why is it only open 4 days a week during the office working hours. My experience is mostly from buying gear. From fortnine it would have been 2.2k, I spent 1.5k here. I saved quite a bit of cash but feel like paid in stress.
