Piano Lessons by Ottawa Piano Teacher Zabel Manoukian

I wish I could explain truthfully how Zabel's classes are and how it has changed my experience of learning piano and understanding the art. Zabel is not only a great pianist and performer but an amazing teacher who has this ability to connect to her students and to find the best path for them to learn piano. Her technical knowledge and soft approach towards art and learning piano, makes a noticeable impact on the quality of the playing. The goal is not only to make you play a piece but to connect and understand the process and the feelings. Learning with her is fun, rich and way more than only piano. You would leave the class with great knowledge and technical lessons, understanding of art and the philosophy behind it and most importantly experiencing the joy of playing and learning piano.As an adult learner, I come a long way with different teachers and by confident I can say Zabel is one of the best (if not the best) in the city.

Ms. Zabel’s credentials as an incredibly gifted musician speak for themselves but in my experience she has been able to impart her musicality, knowledge and technique to my 10 year old son in the most effective and gentle way. She helped him achieve well beyond his musical potential and assisted him in receiving RCM exam marks in the top 2% nationwide.I think the way she engages and challenges my son, patiently and extraordinarily detailed, is why he learned an incredible amount in the 4 years since we had the amazing fortune of finding such an outstanding piano teacher.I would recommend her to anyone who seeks a true artist and educator. Ms. Zabel is fully invested in both her art and her students, teaching considerably more than “how to play piano“. She holds her students to high standard that does nothing short of setting them up for success.Last but not least, as a parent, Ms. Zabel is a delight to work with and I try to learn and apply her pedagogical principles every day.
