G&A Lock and Security

Do they give half stars ? Since being taken over by Knell's service for this company has tanked. Days without a response ..and on commercial accounts to boot!!! If only there were some other options

Great service and so professional. My key broke in the door and they were able to not only remove the broken piece but create a new key from the two broken pieces. Called after hours on a Sunday night and they're response was almost immediate. I have nothing but kind things to say and much gratitude.

We've used G&A for years at work (vault changes, safe repair, re-keying locks and Medeco keys). I have never had a negative experience, ever. Everyone at G&A has been professional, prompt and very good at their job... As well as super nice! We will continue to support this wonderful local company.

I’ve always had great service from these folks. They are able to work with keys that other places don’t have the blanks for. They are pleasant to work with and I’ve never waited long even when the store is busy. They were also able fix a key that was not cut properly at a different business. They charge a fair price for their work also. I think they are a great business to have in our community and they are my first choice for locks and key cutting.

Be nice if someone would respond to their e-mails. I have sent 3 e-mails and called twice in the last two weeks. They likely won't even read this!

Came in to get a special latch because I had a customer who got stuck without a lock on his front door! G&A provided a professional and helpful service, definitely the best locksmith shop in Waterloo. Thank you for a kind service.

The basic standard of a store's competence is that they are open at the hours that they advertise they'll be open. G&A Lock and Security were not open during the hours when they'd said they'd be open. I travelled all the way to the store and got there on a Thursday at 2 pm only to find the store was locked and no one was the premises. I had to go elsewhere. I was quite angry and will never make the same mistake of going there again.

as per their stuff telling me they have hundreds of back orders and some are older than a year. not responding to my employee and or my emails/ calls. Went to store in person, their attitue just telling me they don't care. if you are looking to order locks, you should go elsewhere. if there's rating for 0, i will rate as 0.

I brought in a camper door lock from 1973 that had stopped locking. I’ve had a hard time trying to find a locksmith who knew how to fix these locks but G&A were able to do it and very quickly!! Customer service was amazing. I don’t think I’ll ever go to anyone else. Would recommend to anyone!

My positive review goes to the very friendly staff I dealt with in person. They were very helpful and friendly. I will however give a 1 star review to 'Lori' who must work in the office? She was pretty curt and dismissive when talking to her on the phone. She also does not seem to know what services her employer offers as I was told they do not cut keys any longer. This is a high security key with GA being the only one that is able to copy it. I was told to go across town to have it copied. I followed her instruction and was told nobody could cut the key other than GA, as stamped on the key. I drove back across town to GA and was greeted with friendly staff who confirmed that indeed I could only have the key cut there. Lori, you should brush up on your customer service skills as well as inform yourself on which services you provide. Account holder or not, a high security key that CANNOT be copied anywhere else with YOUR company name stamped on it should be honored. Again, the guys behind the counter were great.
