Morton Tree was able to give me a bid and do the work the same day as it was an emergency. They did a terrific job.

WIRST EXPERIENCE: Morton Tree Service was hired by a neighbor to trim trees on our property. We approved balanced, light tree pruning on a 60+ year-old beautiful Doug Fir. We were VERY clear about the fact that only selective branch, balanced, and minimal pruning would be allowed. That is not what we got and we are devastated by their massive cutting on our tree. They cut a 25 foot window stripping our tree of its branches on two sides of the tree. Also, when we yelled at them to stop cutting they ignored us and continued cutting three more large branches before they stopped. It was a nightmare. These branches will NEVER grow back. In addition, they used our engineered waterfall as a ladder to walk on and tromped all over our dog fence which now needs to be replaced. I would never recommend this company to anyone. .

We hired Morton to remove a 40ft snag on and grind the stump, as well as some additional work. The crew that showed up was professional and did a fine job removing the tree and and cleaning up. However, only one of the two stumps discussed were ground. It took me a few weeks to notice this, and two weeks after reaching out with this issue, instead of completing the job originally hired for, Morton proposed that they would do it for 'time and materials'. Unfortunately I was out of time for this option, having a concrete truck lined up for just a few days later. After clearing the area for paving, it became clear that the stump that was ground wasn't done so in it's entirety -- some areas are 6 higher than others

Today you were contracted by Everett Custom Homes to remove all the trees at 2622 N Winchell St in portland. The entire block was against this and did powerless to do anything to save any of the trees, most notably a 23” diameter healthy evergreen on the perimeter of the property. Please don’t sell out to these unscrupulous developers. They are ruining the beauty of our community and are not willing to spare trees that can be saved.

Don Morton and his crews have maintained our trees for many years now. The latest requirement was a very large tree that had developed a crack down the middle. We discussed the options and realized the only safe action was to take the tree down. The crew worked safely and swiftly, consulted us as they worked, cleaned up perfectly and and were cheerful the whole time. Love these guys!

Today was the third job they've done for me. Whether pruning or full tree removal these guys are the best. Very pro crew - everything done safely, just like you asked and they clean up like no one was ever there. Highly recommend.

I've used them numerous times to take down very large dead trees. They are meticulous, polite, timely and knowledgeable. I wouldn't use anyone else. In fact, I'm calling right now because sadly, I have a tree that I think needs their help. They'll let me know what it needs, that I know.

So Mr. Morton cut down a full sized birch tree for us back in 2013. Cut it into the rounds I asked his crew to leave for me. Split those in the summer and it burned like mesquite! Great pricing, great crew and old school west linn business. He's been there when the WLPD building was a walnut orchard! He's coming back next week with an arborist to figure out what to do with these other birch trees so they survive without dropping on a roof!PS: his employees love him!
