Great food. Always wonderful. Prices have increased with the economic inflation but not as much as some places. Still reasonable.

Always really good food if you are looking for westernized Chinese food. The lady who runs the dining room always makes me laugh because she reminds me of Ms Swan from MadTV (if you are old enough to remember that.) I've been eating at the New Golden Star for years and really have never had a bad meal. I always enjoyed the buffet, but they aren't doing buffets at this time (Covid). When they do start up the buffet again, I recommend the buffet to go". They give you a to-go container and you are free to to fill the container with items from the buffet for one price!"

Drive home from Okanagan to Vancouver took longer than expected so this was our unplanned dinner stop. What a pleasant surprise!The freshness of the vegetables here are unlike any other Chinese restaurant I've been to. No funky or slightly off veggies here like most other places. My partner says it's also the best sweet and sour pork he's ever had in his life. Definitely western Chinese food, but done right. And clean washrooms!Only downside are the sketchies constantly scoping out your vehicle. Don't leave valuables in your car and maybe sit near the window where you can keep an eye on your belongings.

I order off the menu always, the buffet is great, but I prefer stuff you can't get on the buffet. Ginger beef, I'm allergic to pork, is one such item. They have a unreal war wonton. It's a bit expensive but it's the best hope has to offer. So five stars 100%

Pretty good hot and sour soup. And the spring roll is crispy and not greasy feeling!And I'm chinese. So I'm picky!

Had the Chicken Fried Rice ‘cause the family was having wheat pasta…. Quite tasty, full plate! Only thing I would change is a few less peas and a few more veggies.

They didn’t let us order until we sat for half a hour. Took over an hour for them to give us our meal and there were only 2 tables occupied. Overpriced and horrible customer service. We were supposed to get home by 7, got home by about 9. Wish we picked any other place, because our experience sucked.

Man almighty, an actual real size portion of food, very impressed with this restaurant, very nice lady at the front, I got a combination plate, it's a perfect man size meal, none of this diet portion food, this is what I needed and it's great tasting too.Cant wait to try whole menu,I need the calories
