I would highly recommend City Soundproofing for any soundproofing job. Gil is a master of his profession. You can really tell that he knows how sound travels and how to block it. Our noise levels before doing our joint wall with the factory next door were around 65-70 db. We are now at 40-45 db and can finally work in a quiet environment. Thank you for a great job!

The only reason I give them a 4 star instead of a 5 is despite the soundproofing, the noise level from the loud neighbor has only been reduced by 50% instead of 80% or higher. Besides that, the staff at City soundproofing are very easy to work with and accommodating with the timeline of our project.

We live in a condo where our bedroom shares a wall with the neighbor's kitchen. New tenants recently moved in who were staying up until 4am every night and cooking / being active all night. They also were accommodating enough to disassemble and reassemble our closet storage space unit since we had trouble finding someone to come do it prior to the soundproofing start date.Most importantly, the soundproofing job worked. It has reduced the noise previous heard (shoes on tile, chopping on a board, drawers closing, etc.) to a muffle at most, and has even muffled the outside noise a bit due to the insulation placed around the vent above our bed. Gil and the team at City Soundproofing Toronto did an outstanding job soundproofing the shared wall between me and my neighbour. Gil gave me a great recommendation for how to approach the situation which wsa much more informed and provided greater value than the other quote I had received. Gil's solution was more work for them (more labour), for only slightly more cost to me, with much better results. My rowhouse has a complex shared wall including a loft / cathedral with overhang between the ground and second floor, and a spiral staircase anchored to the wall - these details posed many tricky interfaces with the wall that needed to be worked around. The team gently moved my furnishing and covered them all before completing the work in a timeline and friendly manner. They even were able to meet my very exacting and accelerated timeline. The whole team including the drywall and paint finisher, Paul, were a pleasure to work with. I recommend them very highly!
