I have been wanting to do my front deck for a while now but the quotes I was getting were absurdly expensive. I asked Trace if he was interested in doing it, he mentioned to me it would be his first time doing it for a customer but I was confident he would be able to pull it off. Indeed he did a very good job here, and even when things weren't perfect he dismantled some parts and redid them again at no extra cost! 5 stars from me.

Mr. Trace Smith's service is excellent. He is honest, punctual, his invoicing is transparent, his work is very detailed and clean. Definitely recommended!Trace took care of many things in my home: fixing drywall, priming/painting walls, patching gaps in my entrance brick steps, fixing a stuck drain plug, solidifying my patio stairs, re-caulking kitchen and bathroom counters, strengthening my bathroom vanity, etc..He even took the time to teach me tips and tricks so I can do things myself in the future.

We've had the opportunity to hire Trace to paint our house, repair our fence and gate and disassemble large, heavy furniture and remove it. Courteous, professional, worth every penny and he gets the job right the first time. We highly recommend him.

Trace came over to secure the railing on an indoor staircase that was a little loose. We were both hoping it would be a small job, the railing simply in need of tightening, but fate had more in store...It turned out the railing needed a butterfly screw, but one that was especially long. Trace diagnosed the issue, spent perhaps an hour or more on the project, and never hesitated to redo work if he felt it could be improved. I think he spent more time on my project than he had expected, but he didn't rush.I admire Trace's professionalism, his work ethic, and his persistence. He was also in good spirits, smiling and saying hello to my baby who played nearby. We definitely have more projects lined up in the future for Trace. The South Shore is lucky to have him!

Trace came to replace our gutters. Communication leading up to the replacement was great. He was very professional and efficent while doing the work. I would recomment him to anyone in the area.

After having been let down at the last minute, on Easter week-end, by the contractor who was in charge of installing new vinyl rolls and baseboards in my basement because it was not perfectly levelled, I searched the internet and called Mr. Trace Smith at South Shore Handyman to find out if he could manage this installation. After having agreed on a quote, Trace came on Easter Monday to start the work and I must say that I am extremely pleased with the results as my uneven floor was really a challenge !! Thank you so much again for having done such a great job Trace ! You are a reliable, competent and very nice straight person and you even helped me and my husband getting rid of a big branch that fell off my tree during that recent ice storm. I am very grateful for Mr.Smith professional job to help me fix my dryer vent pipe.Which has been a very big concern for me every time when I used the dryer.Now, no any more. I can see the steam completely outside, and also the smell.I had Mr.Smith helped me couple of times -stairs repairs, deck repairs, window repairs.He always really spent time and made the work done the best way !So the satisfaction was really A+ !!Very glad to have him in our region.
