Went for my baby girls birth registration today and the birth registration officer was the kindest I have seen in a government office. Process was done within an hour.Make sure to call the office before going because there are specific documents you should bring so they can process the application without a hassle.Also they accept cash only.

I have asked to drop the Life certificate form in a box kept there and told they will send it by post for which I have provided envelope with stamp affixed.Also I'm told they will send it by post within two days.Now one week passed no response.If I don't send it to Colombo pension office before March 31,they may withhold my monthly pension.This is the first time I am having bad experience.

Applied for Mom's new passport and got it today. Had a very pleasant experience with the Toronto branch. Customer service has improved. A very pleasant receptionist.

Having visited the Sri Lankan Consulate at Eglington on two separate occasions( today - Sept 28 th, and last week - Sept 21 st), we wish to state that the services provided were excellent. The lady officers who served us were very professional, efficient, courteous and helpful.As Sri Lankan citizens we are indeed proud of such outstanding services rendered by consular staff. I don't think any country's consulate office would be so disrespectful towards its citizens living outside of its country like the Sri Lankan consulate. This office is a mess with incompetency, the man in the front desk, who looks quite incompetent himself and proved his incompetency with his lack of experience on handling citizen requests and administrative skills and tasks. He decided to make up rules and regulations on his own.... He proved his incompetency with his lack of office/professional etiquette with his colleagues which speaks volumes. Such a disgrace.

Terrible people working here. You could really notice the racism and double standards shown towards Tamil people. Unbelievable people. I would call them EVIL.

Very rude and unprofational employes , they have same attitude of how the government workers in sri lanka , they haven't change a bit after they have seen how government employes working in this country... I would give zero * only I am force to give 1
