Battleford Community Recycling Centre

It was my first time visiting this recycling center and my experience was pleasant. The staff is very organized & patiently answered all our questions. The service seems to be very quick too. Thanks team!

It was a seamless process to get rid of our recyclables at this place. They guide you well by explaining the process in detail when you get there.

We used to have a program at our Mississauga office where employees could drop off their dead batteries and CFL light bulbs to make it easy for them to dispose of easily. Today we were told that we could not collect these on behalf of our fellow employees and that each person must take their own batteries individually. That is a lot of individual trips.

So I have been coming here daily since I have been doing renovations in my basement and also pick up of large items is not happening curbside due to Covid. Thus they have waived fees upto 100kg/per day visit. As you can see with the pylons they are enforcing social distancing within the compound which I can appreciate. But make sure you are coming early as it can get busy and more so with limited cars coming into the compound since social distancing protocols are in place. One suggestion is what I do is grab a coffee near by the McDonald's and aim to be here by 8am. Thus I am here 30mins before it opens and once I am done my coffee, it is 8:30am and your minimum wait is 30mins depending how many cars are ahead of you. There are not too many cars but yes there are people who come earlier to be one of the first ones in the compound.Staff are generally helpful and give directions to where you need to dump your stuff in which area or bin.

Dropped stuff off and accidentally threw my glasses case with glasses into the bin. Mark (and his colleagues) were able to retrieve the glasses in only an hour. Amazing! Very attentive. Thanks so much!

At one time in the past I was given a token whenever I dropped off items that were no charge like metal and electronics. The token allowed me to bypass the exit lineup and leave immediately. Very courteous idea. Disappointingly they don't use the tokens anymore although the special exit Lane still exist.

After using the same ID as early as last week, I was told today by the learned lady" at the window that they only accept hardcopy. ..and turned away! Which time are we (or her) in. Is this really a rule. Please provide and have it stated at the gate.I went to Chrysler dumpsite with no headache after 30 mins driving to pay $6 Fee."
