Terrible customer service, Ordered a regular pickerel dish, they gave me halibut instead of pickerel which is more expensive but im not mistaken they gave me halibut instead of my original order of pickerel, made time to come back with the receipt and they told me No they would not replace my order with what i had actually ordered and that if thats all that i could leave, do not support fergies fish and chips, as this is exactly what to expect when it comes down to customer service, i would rate it 0 stars if i could.

Fergies Fish 'n Chips
Have not eaten here in some time so made a trip to refresh my memory. First thing I noticed after ordering was the price. Even ordering pickerel a 1 piece and 2 piece with chips was under 30 dollars with a drink. Food was great and even though we had to put up either all the noise in the food courts all around a great dinning experience.

I ordered via skip the dishes and the meal was hot, the packaging is top notch. I ordered two piece pickerel fish n chips and derp fried mars bar. EVERYTHING WQA HOT AND DELICIOUS! Thank you Fergie’s for delicious hot food during a pandemic.

This is the 2nd time I have eaten at Fergies and I really love the taste of the Pickerel which is prepared fresh daily, and coated with a seasoned flour and beer batter.My only complaint is that they use Canola Oil; the website says that the oil has no “added trans fat” but it still has trans fats and is deep friend which isn't the healthiest for anyone.So with this said, the taste is really good, but I would only eat this fried fish once in a while as a treat if you want to stay healthy!I almost forgot to mention that I just love how they packaged my meal with interesting facts about the Fish 'n Chip industry, and how this company is conscious about their waste, and their impact on the environment!

Fergies Fish 'n Chips
Warning - this location of Fergie's does NOT compare with The Forks or Polo Park locations. Have enjoyed the other locations but this one in St Vital Mall is damaging the reputation of Fergie's. The cod was overcooked and rubbery and I think it had been twice fried. The fries were anaemic and undercooked. I think the cooks have not been trained properly - or you need to change the staff otherwise you will end up having to close. Looks like lots of others have had the same experience. I will not be returning.

Every Fergie's location in Winnipeg has been great and I always enjoy it! Went here yesterday and ordered the regular combo with pickerel, it was so delicious and crispy! Crispy and golden to perfection and the tartar sauce is probably among the best I've ever had! It tastes great even dipping chips in it. By the way, out of all the seasoning choices you can select from, I highly recommend the one simply called Seasoning" to put on the chips

Hadn't been here for a couple of years because the fish was so greasy. Figured I would try it again as I love fish. This time I ordered the pickerel, and it was awesome! It was fresh, white and flakey. Fries were great too, not greasy either! Service was really slow, but I still look forward to going back again.1/12/23 Tried it again. This time not nearly as good. The pickerel was mushy and tough and on the greasy side, and fries were not cooked long enough. Service still slow, but am willing to wait for great fish and chips.

Fergies Fish 'n Chips
Ordered a regular pickerel meal (2 piece with regular fries) and a double pickerel meal (2 pieces with LG fried and chowder). In comparison to the first few times I had been the portion sizes have been reduced. It's still a decent size but definitely not the wow factor compared to the portions from years ago. The first piece I ate was the pickerel but when I had a few bites of the second piece the taste was noticeably different and my partner said that it didn't look like pickerel, it looked like cod. I went to let them know that I got 1 piece of pickerel and 1 piece of cod and the girl I spoke to first looked like she had no idea what to do or say so another man was directed my way but seemed busy and said 'thats how pickerel flakes' and when I clarified that they did not taste the same he was very dismissive and didn't even spend two seconds to keep eye contact with me while saying sorry about that and just moving onto whatever he was doing. The food is usually very good but less so when there's a mistake and the follow-up interaction is rude.
