Unbelievable Customer Service from Neil at the 58 Ave location in Calgary. There was a delay from the supplier for a trumpet hanger I ordered there, and he did a bunch of digging, keeping in contact with me every couple of days with updates and even offered to give me one of their hangers used in the showroom until mine showed up. It's not everyday you get service like this in retail, so I wanted to make sure his extra effort is recognized and appreciated. You have solidified a lifelong customer for going over and above, and I'll definitely recommend this store to anyone needing anything music equipment related.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Ryan M. today. He spent a lot of time working with us on the nuances of bass guitar and also helping with explanation and eventual sale on a great used six string Sterling Majesty. He is a great asset to the store.

I've been going to them for years. Helpful and knowledgeable staff and help out with products they sell with the in-use experience they have with a lot of the product.Helpful when purchasing new instruments and getting instruments tuned up.Started using their music lesson center. Instructor Dean has been great.

Very clean, well kept store, great selection. Staff are also very helpful and friendly. Loses a point for still having the Testing rooms closed. Waking into the guitar amp space and hearing 2 bassists and a guitarist all playing different things in different keys leads to quite the mind numbing cacophony. The testing rooms seem to have been converted to some sort of storage space, which us a shame.

I really like the happy vibe here :) all staffs are willing to help and very nice.I was here for an exchange, and was being asked if I was being helped twice from different staffs.I had a small problem with the ukulele I bought and while I was there Brandon (not sure if I got his name right, sorry if I didn’t) was very helpful searching for stocks and showing me a replacement.Although I ended up changing my mind to exchange to a totally different one, he was still happy to help.It’s definitely not a big sale for them and might not be happy to get a customer for refund or exchange but I didn’t get any negative vibes.I really appreciate his patience. I’m 100% going back here even for a small thing like strings. Oh also got a $10 gift card with the new uke :) Thank you!

Been going to Long and Mcquade forever. Their service is excellent. My kids went to buy Electric Guitar and Piano keyboard and was assisted by Brodie. He was super knowledgeable, kind and friendly. He took time explaining to my kids the features and more. As my daughters guitar was not available he helped her rent one and explained the features. He even offered to call her when it became available. Thank you Brodie for your help

Awesome location with really helpful and friendly staff.They have great sales a couple times a year where you can find steep discounts on awesome gear - picked up a Strymon Deco for less than $300 at one of their fall sales.Went in for a 1/4 stereo splitter once and they didn't have one for sale

Gord is a guitar GOD. Hands. Down.All the staff are nice and chill and crazy helpful, Gord especially so, he wasn't pushy and happy to go through all the basic care and answered all my noob questions, he even demoed the guitars I was looking at for me so I could hear the difference because I had legit never even played a guitar before but I explained the sound I was looking for and he showed me how to make that a reality! Besides the excellent service, the financing is ridiculously customizable so payment are 100% when and how much I want them to be, they even let you set a payment plan forequipment not just the instruments!10/10 would recommend any day that ends in y

Vinh Hoang went above and beyond at the rental desk to help us with all our needs. I would recommend anybody with rental inquiries to speak with Vinh at this location. His knowledge is the best in Calgary. Vinh if your reading this - we’ll give you 6 stars if you engineer our event at Smugglers, the offer still stands lol.
