Hampton Inn by Hilton Sarnia/Point Edward

I actually like this place better than quality inn. Especially when it is by Hilton. We were too tired to drive after we got entered Canada and it was right by Sarnia’s border.This location had good breakfast area, pool, parking spot and clean room. I will choose Hampton inn next time when needed.

During my stay today I heard what I presume the manager yelling and screaming at a house keeper. The manager was huge compared to the very small house keeper. This is utterly classless and I would expect if a manager had issues with her staff she would address it in private. The poor cornered house keeper looked terrified and the manager looked like she was going to assault her. I'm not sure what is going on there but I will not be doing business with an establishment that treats their employees like that. I will be returning to my country and recommending to my company we book a different hotel for our business needs based on this.

I had to attend Sarnia for a business trip. The staff were welcoming, and while I did not have time to use the gym or pool they were available if I needed. The 24 hour tea bar is fantastic and the complimentary breakfast options were plenty. My room was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable as well. Check in and check out were easy too.

Possibly my best hotel experience in Canada. Everything was on point... rooms, were lovely, nice view... breakfast was amazing. We had no issue whatsoever... we shall be back here.

Rooms were very clean, the service was very friendly and professional and the breakfast was top notch. Front desk was very accomodating and friendly to any of our questions and requests. Will be staying again.

The building is new and the lobby and hallways are clean and nice. I liked the breakfast as well. The options were good including, scrambled egg, pork sausage, pancakes, waffle makers, muffins, bagels, toasts, jams and honey, syrup, fruit and juices, yogurt and three blends of coffee. The coffee is available 24/7. The room had a good desk for work and TV. It was very clean.The bed and linen was comfy and very clean.The checkin and check out was straightforward. I dropped a star because I couldn’t take a shower because the water was cold. I think the least to expect from a hotel in winter is hot water. I was at 6th floor and it was very disappointing.

This hotel was awesome, what made it memorable is some point during my stay I order and delivery and the drive gave it to a man outside my door. I couldn’t get a refund and I was upset about it. Of course not the hotels fault but I was telling my coworker about it in the lobby over breakfast and Amy who I think is the assistant manager came over and apologized for what happened and gave my gift card to Starbucks for my troubles. It wasn’t necessary but it was very appreciated. Amy really went above and beyond.

Comfortable room ( a.c. was a bit noisy but aren't they all?) Staff are amazing, especially Kim . Free breakfast which our grandsons enjoyed. The pool is wonderful. Lots of places to eat nearby as well as shopping if you want that.We went for 3 nights and ended up staying 6!

Overall ok experience. The room fridge was too warm and couldn't make it colder. There were no eggs, ham etc. left when we went to get our complimentary hot breakfast at 8:00am. They were still empty at 9:00.East facing room curtains can't close so the sunrise will wake you up in the morning.

I stayed for 3 days. The staff on reception were very nice and always helpful. Talking about you, Juanita, but the same was true for your co-workers.Free coffee is available in the room and in the lobby. I didn't see any milk anywhere - room or lobby - so brought my own. If you want tea, you'll have to bring your own.The King room was very nice. Clean. No smells. Comfy bed. Room 415 was nice and quiet. AC actually did what it was told. There was a fridge and a microwave. Lots of power outlets and very conveniently placed. The TV had only live TV channels. I couldn't see how to use any of the streaming services on my phone or laptop with the TV, so I watched them on my laptop and didn't use the TV at all. This didn't affect my comfort at all. The Internet was fast and reliable. I paid the $4.95 / day extra for faster Internet.As for food, breakfast was included, but I didn't take advantage of that. There is no room service, so you either bring food in or go out. I took an Uber to a local supermarket and bought some food. None of Sarnia's hotels are in walking distance of any supermarket. Especially in winter. Uber was fine.The bathroom was bright, clean and had everything I needed. The shower was great. Towels and washcloths were relatively new and in great condition.If you have a car, there's lots of parking. The location is conveniently close to the Front St accesses to the 402.The Hampton didn't have everything - hence 4 stars - but it's got enough for me to be happy staying there. I can work around the gaps (streaming, milk, food). With these in mind I can happily recommend it. :-)
