Beautiful vintage venue for weddings! Gorgeous architecture and so many cute photo op spots. The only downside is the only bathrooms are downstairs and the stage/wedding venue is upstairs.

This was an excellent experience and an excellent place! We were at the Gem Theatre for a Taste Test. If you ever need a service/venue to serve for a large crowd, this is one of the places to try the food and experience it. My husband is also a musician and he played here once - there is a beautiful “theatre” in the room next door to the dining area. I should have taken a picture of that room.I took photos of the beautiful courtyard, but I forgot to get the permission of my family to post the photos with my review for that too. Trust me, the courtyard was beautiful! They took care of every detail outside!Inside was beautiful too. The staff was pleasant, professional and very friendly (I assure you , they already had our business, so that wasn’t why).The Taste Test started with appetizers and ended with dessert. Attached to this review are the photos of our food. I would not co sided this a “Taste Test”, but a “wonderful dinner”!Sidebar: The last two photos are for the Ladies.... The bathrooms are downstairs. The first photo is of the hallway (LOVE THE GOLDEN TOUCHES!!) the bathroom is beautiful and large. It is VERY clean.Make sure to check out my photos. My Niece had her wedding and reception here. The facility is beautiful, staff is friendly and professional. The food was excellent.

We were here for a wedding or friends. I was expecting an upscale location and the downstairs area we were seated was definitely trying, but it seemed boring and not well maintained rather than antic or luxurious.The upstairs area was spacious and welcomed a very large group of guests, but again nothing stood out.Everything I saw looked like it had been neither new nor really old but something in the middle.Like a house from the 70s when one would visit his/her aunt.

A great venue in a former Lady's Club. Beautifully restored and would make a perfect setting for a wedding and reception.

It's been one week from our wedding at the Gem and we're still talking about how incredible it was!!Talking about the wedding, we have said we wouldn't have changed a single thing" and that's thanks to the Gem. From the time we booked it to the end of our wedding night

Went as a guest for a private event. Amazing location and convenient parking options. Facility was stunning. Definitely a great spot to through and event formal or informal. Staff friendly and informative, very professional.

This place is truly a Detroit Gem! Pun intended haha. I remember when they dug it up and moved the whole building. It looks so perfect in its current spot perched at the corner there with it’s pristine gardens that you’d think it’s always been there.

Amazing. Stopped to smell the flowers! Such a well kept place. Literally a Gem. I couldn’t just walk by.
