Guelph Dental

This was hands down the best experience I've ever had with a dentist. Dr. Kang was incredible, talking me through how all of my teeth were doing with live video snapshots to show them close up. He explained all the various technologies he was using and had a delightful sense of humor. Every once in a blue moon, five stars doesn't feel like it drives home just how uniquely good an experience is. This is one of those cases. I give it a 6 out of 5 stars.

I was very sad when I went to his clinic for teeth cleaning. He has not done any work between teeth, no flossing, no cleaning between my teeth. As pandemic, I have not had my teeth cleaned since Dec 2019. So I wanted my teeth cleaned completely and booked a teeth cleaning appointment. When I went there for my teeth cleaning appointment, he took lots of x-ray pictures for me first, then done three fillings, last quickly done cleaning that took around 15 minutes and have not do any cleaning work between my teeth. I asked why he has not done it. He said it is difficulty to do that between teeth.....

My family always had the most wonderful experience at this office. All of the staff is highly skilled and knowledgeable. It is also very nice to see your teeth on live screen in front of you and have questions answered. My two kids are actually looking forward to their next visits. I have no problem recommending them to my friends.

After my tooth got knocked out in June of 2018, I went to the ER and they referenced me to this dental place and got booked for the day after. After a night of no tooth I went to the dentistry and the doctor put my tooth back in. I later went to check up a few months after and the doctor didn't say or do anything else after asking if it's fine. Fast forward to today and after checking up with another dentist it turns out my body is eating" my tooth and now it's infected in the root. I quickly searched up what to do with a knocked out tooth and they say that the chances of a successful reimplantation after 2 hours are very slim to none and should be done within 30 minutes if you want the tooth to survive. The dentist should've known that the tooth wasn't good to be put back in since the er called him the day before. I don't know if it's normal to have eroded enamels at the age of 17 when I've been brushing my teeth 2 times a day since I can remember. Another incident at the same place during my visit a few months after my teeth incident also occured "age of 14-15". I went for a check-up on my teeth that I had broken and was told to revisit and all Dr Tang did was clean my "cavities". I don't recall having cavities and wasn't told anything about my teeth that I can remember. However I do remember when he was grinding down all my back teeth excessively after plenty of tries to get my bite to be flat but in the end it was still a little off but I said it was flat. Im not sure if the reason my enamel is gone is because of the dentist or other reasons but all I can say is that the dentist is unskilled and I might have to take further action on my incident. *Edit. The dentist is a good mannered nice guy

Terrible dentist! I went for a check up because I my tooth was aching and was told nothing was wrong. I leave and next thing I know, I have a cavity and go to get a filling. A few weeks after the filling I was still having pain and I got checked up by another dentist and they told me, whoever did my filling did a terrible job and didnt rid of the cavity. I dont reccomend this dentist whatsoever. If you value your teeth, DON'T go here

Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist (even though it turns out I need fillings! Oops!) Dr. Kang has incredible bedside manner - he immediately put me at ease with his great sense of humor, reassured me that my cavities weren’t my fault, and even joked that he knows no one likes to go to the dentist. He does everything himself - the x-rays, imaging, and cleaning - and even gives you a live tour of your mouth via camera. He also carefully explained every step of the process and gave me a very comfortable cleaning! Thanks to him I’m not dreading going back in two weeks for my fillings.

Dr. James Tang is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. I’m new to Guelph and when I had a tooth ache yesterday he was able to take me in right away. The technology he uses is very new, office is clean, and he is very gentle. Unlike other experiences in the past he showed passion in explaining everything to me along the way. I was nervous going to a new dentist as I have not been able to go to my regular cleaning/checkups over the last year. Dr. James Tang made the experience comfortable and surprisingly even a little fun! I highly recommend going to see him if you need any work or are unhappy with your dentist.

Had my first appointment with Dr. James Tang yesterday. It was a great experience! He clearly cares very much about his work. He took the time to show me all my teeth and explain the images. It was a very positive and fun appointment. Highly recommend him!

Dr. James Tang is the best dentist I got to meet so far. unlike any other dentist he doesn't use Anesthesia, and fixed all my cavities in a gently manner.
