Unreal unprofessionalism. When my wife calls to make an appointment with her family doctor, she is instantly sent to a voicemail that says “messages will not be listened to or responded to”!!! She has been calling every day for over a week, and is about to run out of her life saving medication!! Unbelievable!!!

Be careful if you go here and see Dr Wayne Pickett. If you go see him, he will tell you that you lost your baby with little proof that that is what's happening/happened. My cousin almost lost her baby due to this guy telling her that the baby is deceased. The only reason why he said that was because she was in pain.. she has BULGING disks in her back... She's going to have pain. And yes, she told him that. The only thing this guy went off of, was the pain she was in and the fact that her hormone levels went down. She's 15 weeks.... Hormones dips are NORMAL at that stage!! She just didn't know what to do about the pain and was scared. This guy made everything worse. A couple days later when no one called her for an appointment for an ultrasound (Dr Wayne said she would get a phone call the next day, she still hasn't gotten that call.. almost a full week later) so she decided to go to the ER in Dartmouth. They got the bedside ultrasound out and did one right then and there and found a heart beat right away. And guess what Dr Wayne? She's still very much pregnant! You were very wrong and I hope you reflect on why you told her what you did even the nurse in the room looked at you all weird when you said that. Oh... how about learn a thing or two about pregnancy? Might help you in the future.

Very horrible experience, When I got bleeding during my pregenant, The emergency doctors told me to contact my prenetal doctor. My husband visited the clinic twice, but it turned out that receoptionest never transfer the message to the dcotor, and the doctor never gave me a call or make an ealier appoitment, then when I visited them at a later pre-fixed appointment, they questioned me that why I didnot let them know I got miscarriage, and they would not let me see the doctor and turned me out to the waiting room again. And I went for my first Ultro-sound, the doctor there asked me why I visited them because I am no longer pregenant. That is really redicious, I tried to get contact with my prenetal doctor, but nobody cares about my case. And then I got blamed from every department. After another visit, the clinic kicked me out because I was no longer pregenant, without any notice or talks, then shut down on me. I really regret to visit them during my unsuccessful pregenecy, I could stay at home and wait without suffering so much.

Update:As far as I have experienced from my last few visits, their phone system has improved and I have not lost my number in queue. We have to be quick to call just to make sure we get in line. Also now they are offering next day’s appointment. So no more same day appointment. I will continue to update as my experience change.Service from the doctor is kind and satisfactory.Wow! I read all recent reviews about broken phone system and all the horrible experiences. This is my go to walk in specially for my toddler as it is an appointment basedBut now I just had the same experience as others, I called in at 8:30 and recording said they are fully booked, I still kept trying and finally was able to get in line at number 16. When I was at number 2 it just hung up on me. Tried one more time now from number 29, and it hung up again when I was at 3.Total waste of time and energy when you have only one option to book an appointment over the phone and your phone system is not yet fixed after so many complaints and negative reviews.

Healthcare is tough to get in Nova Scotia especially a walk in clinic but this spot was really great once I got in! Reception was friendly and doctors were great.

My wife spent two days (like most nova scotians) looking to get into a walk in clinic for my four year old daughter. After calling the Scotia Med Clinic multiple times their phone system was clearly not working. She thought she would try visiting in person to make an appointment. Once she got there and asked to make an appointment with the receptionist, another employee proceed to “step in” and began to state to my wife (in a rude and condescending tone) that she would not be assisted and that the appointments must be done by phone. When my wife tried to explain that the phone line had not been working the day prior this employee continued to argue with my wife in front of my daughter and other patients. This kind of attitude is not acceptable for people trying to protect their children.

Waited on the phone for an hour and a half only to be pushed back to the menu and then re entered into the queue. I understand that COVID has made operating walk in clinics difficult but this is unacceptable and unprofessional. Looking forward to wasting another hour of my life to simply book an appointment!

I called one afternoon and only was in the queue for 30 minutes before someone answered and gave me an appt time for the next day. At my appointment time I only waited 25 minutes to see Doctor. He was very helpful and provided me with a prescription. It was a very good experience and I have only good to say about this team of medical professionals.

Obviously need a receptionist. Wait time of less than one minute turned into a 30 minute wait, which I eventually gave up on. Your call is important to us"
